My partner and I stayed here and couldn't find a thing wrong with it! The service was impeccable, the room comfortable and clean and the dinner in the Burlington was lovely. I honestly haven't a bad thing to say! More

Having stayed in and enjoyed the Sister hotel, Devonshire Arms Beeley many times, my husband and I had frequently discussed that we ought to try out the Bolton Abbey hotel. So he booked it for my Birthday and tried not to have too many sleepless nights at the £400+ price tag for one night's accommodation!!! Our package included breakfast, an... More

Most disappointing hotel experience anywhere for many years. Very poor food for a great deal of money , screaming children allowed in dining room even after 9.30. Spa terrible -not connected to main hotel and like a cheaply converted old cricket pavilion on the other side of hte road. 'Lounge' in spa has tatty rattan furniture and plastic covered cushion... Early May 2012 was blessed with appalling weather. This could not detract from our three night stay at this delightful hotel. We were recognised from previous visits and welcomed like old friends. We were pampered in every way and service was slick and very friendly. Food, especially in the Burlington was delicious and memorable. Downsides? Some difficulty accessing subtitles on... More

I had wanted to stay in the Devonshire Arms for a long time so was delighted when we finally had the opportunity. We stayed in a Nidderdale Room for two nights. The room was over £300 per night (B&B) so I was expecting something sumptuous. We were to be disappointed; the room was small and relatively plainly decorated, with one... More

We visited a couple of weekends ago & enjoyed Sunday lunch in the Brasserie. We arrived early as all pre bookable tables were full and didnt have to wait to be seated. The menu was extensive & very child friendly. The brasserie is brightly decorated, the tables are nicely spaced out & chairs comfortable. My only criticism about the brasserie... More

The hotel is in a wonderful area, excellent for walking (the hotel will provide several different walks). The room was lovely very nicely decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. We ate in the brasserie, which was excellent. There was a decent choice of wine by the glass and the better quality wines were not exceessively marked up in price which... More

A superb dining experience in the famous Michelin starred Burlington Restaurant. Great food, great wine to accompany and outstanding service - very accommodating. Only flaw was the location of the hand basin in the room in the closet in the bedroom - not very private - The Chatsworth Room. Otherwise a near perfect stay in idyllic countryside. More

We stayed for only £60pp B&B on one of the hotel's specials to celebrate the Jubilee. As it was a week night they were pretty quiet so we were upgraded to one of their large feature rooms, the Artist room which is large with a king bed and a fabulous bathroom - roll top bath, separate large shower, etc. I'd...
