Day spa visit. Lovely day spent relaxing. We both had a back massage which was very relaxing and enjoyable. Tyra and Sarah both knew what they were doing and were very good, calm friendly and professional. The spa facilities were very nice. All followed by a cream tea in the conservatory which had gorgeous views of the country side but was still warm and cosy. Our waiter Wayne was very nice attentive professional friendly and also good at his job quick and efficient service with a smile. Over all and wonderful experience would recommend

A lovely hotel and spa. We had 2 rooms on the first floor with views through mullion windows over the grounds and countryside beyond both rooms were different in character and décor but both large - one had a 4 poster bed. Rooms and en-suites were clean with crisp white bed linen. We used the spa area which again was clean and tidy –massage treatments in the spa were excellent. We ate at the hotel - lunch, dinner and breakfast options were all good. However it is the staff that set this hotel apart from others. From the warm welcome we received in the conservatory/bar when we arrived for coffee morning through to checkout our requests, even if a little odd , were met with professionalism and fielded with good humour. We were treated like guests at a country residence and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you

Stayed for one night, very enjoyable stay. Initial impressions were let down by a large stain (still wet from cleaning so staff aware) on carpet in room, I feel as hotel was not busy we should have been given a different room, however room was otherwise nice so did not spoil our stay. Small spa on site, not busy when we visited, had pool to ourselves and also used the steam room and sauna. Bar area was very pleasant with large conservatory area and comfy chairs. Breakfast in the morning was good quality with food cooked to order as well as a nice buffet. Overall our stay was good value.

I Treated my son in law and daughter to a night away here . I can genuinely say they said the food was excellent. Their room was very basic and could hear everything next door But if you have an issue a bout anything be warned !! The Manager has serious attitude problems. Needs to go on a customer care course . I feel for her staff AWFUL AWFUL Arrogant women with serious issues If your ot satisfied with something, instead of helping to resolve the issue which occurred. Made the situation alot worse

Our first time to stay at Cricklade and we definitely wouldn't return. Standard room with double bed, nr 25 Small with only one bedside table and chair The dressing table and chair are very worn On the ground with the view over the car park, no privacy unless you keep the curtains closed all the time No in-room safe No hair -dryer No robs, fliplops for SPA The hot tap is very hot quickly, impossible to use it One small shower gel and shampoo No bottled water SPA The sauna and steem room are very basic but clean The swimming pool is nice but very shallow 1.2m impossible to swim The female changing room has not been cleaned for two days The corridor leading to our room looked very tired with the painting peeling off the wall. We wouldn’t recommend this place to anybody. Not 4* hotel.

Our stay was fantastic. The surroundings were beautiful, very quiet and peaceful. The spa facilities were beautifully maintained and very quiet - everything was accessible. Treatments were great too. Very accommodating with booking these. We missed our afternoon tea due to traffic and we were offered an alternate time the following day which was very much appreciated. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, the food at the restaurant was delicious. We will definitely be back.

I've loved this hotel since my first stay in 2015.This is a gentle cotswolds country hotel. It is a beautiful old building in a peaceful location with a swimming pool and staff who will give you a warm welcome.

Can’t really comment on the qualified the rooms but the customer service experience is woeful. I booked three rooms and six tickets for their advertised Christmas Party back in October and immediately paid £670. I had to chase the hotel for confirmation as I didn’t receive any tickets for the function. After a couple of weeks I still hadn’t had any acknowledgment so I popped in to discuss. My first impression of the reception area was not good. The place looks like it hasn’t been painted or decorated for some time and is very tired looking. Anyway, I was assured that all was well and all confirmed. Then sadly four days before the event I was phoned to be told that the event had been cancelled due to lack of numbers. This left me with no opportunity to make alternative arrangements for myself and my guests. The receptionist was very apologetic but no sort of compensation or offer was made. In conclusion the place seems to be slowly winding down and unless steps are made to improve the decor and customer service I wouldn’t be surprised to see this hotel close in the not too distant future

Always feel comfortable and welcome here. A lovely spot with amazing views, good breakfast and welcoming staff. Good petanque pistes plus pool, tennis courts spa etc. The bedroom we had was large and spotlessly clean.
