We arrived there with no idea as to what to expect and we were very surprised. This hotel great. It's a very small hotel (9 rooms), no A/C, no usual creature comforts. The Old Boma is a colonial era German residence which towers above sleepy Mikindani village like a white walled castle. From the terrace you can look out over the horseshoe shaped bay. We stayed at the Old Boma in summer 2005. Its run by a British NGO to a good standard. The hotel is set within a 19 thcentury German Administration Post.
