I visited Tsala about 2 weeks ago. This is my 2nd visit. This time around, we stayed in the newly built 2bedroom suites. All that I can say is.. fantastic!!! It was very convenient, as my young son had his own room, but still in the same villa. Absolutely spectacular view from private balcony. a lot of attention to detail... More

Very nice place to stay, really enjoyed this one which is a great location for either knysna or plettenburg bay, shame we were only here one night! Reception and breakfast area a little tired, but breakfast was excellent as was dinner in Zinzis restaurant just a 2 min walk away. Rooms themselves were amazing and very well appointed, lovely views,... More

Tsala Treetop Lodge is a dream property if you just want to stay in and relax. The rooms are well appointed, there is 100% privacy and the views are to die for.Even better than the spectacular property is the service and care taken by the staff to make you feel special. We were welcomed with champagne and canapes.Every evening with turndown service,... This hotel is all about its dramatic location which is nestled at the top of a wooded valley looking out over the canopy of the forest. At every turn of the discreet spacious suites the forest beckons providing a fantastic place to relax . Other than in the reception area there are few other activities within the hotel complex. The... More

The Good : Amazing location Peaceful Interacting with the monkeys The Bad : Like Birkenhead house in Hermanus, we thought that this property needs sprucing up to get it to the standard set by others in the same price bracket in South Africa now in 2012. I think the owners know this as they seem to be doing the sprucing... More

My wife and I spent a few nights at Tsala to celebrate her birthday. We chose lodge number 1 as it is the most private of the suites, with one bedroom. The suites are superbly decorated wooden lodges overlooking the Harkerville forest and the valley beyond. With a small infinity pool off the lounge. Each suite is totally private and... More

This was our second visit to Tsala and we weren't disappointed. The rooms are beautifully furnished in a contemporary Africa style. Bathrooms are impressive with huge shower, stone bath and outdoor shower ! Lovely little balcony overlooking the forest. The lounge area with wood burning stove is very cosy and welcome on chilly nights. We dined at the Zinzi restaurant... More

We really enjoyed our two night stay here staying in one of the suites. The suite was excellent, beautifully designed. Service was first rate throughout (room service prompt, everyone friendly and concerned to be helpful). The restaurant is recommended - very good value, good cooking and a good wine list. No fitness room/ gym and you need a car although... More

Tsala offers superb accomodation amongst the treetops with beautiful views into and over the canopy. The rooms are extremely luxurious and spacious and we were lucky enough to get a visit from the native mischief makers, the vervet monkeys, who patiently posed and waited until we finally gave in and rewarded them with delicious biscuits that were supposed to be...
