We travelled with 8 in our group. The property houses a few different "apartments" and is full of fruit trees and scenic views. There is a beautiful pool with bar area and a small restaurant for guests only. The rooms themselves are clean and new. You feel like you are in the middle of the country and can fully relax,... We chose Villa Rizzo because it was on our route north from Sicily, and because we could book it through Venere - the ONLY booking site I use for Europe. I had become frustrated by the Tripadvisor app on my iPad. From its listing, Villa Rizzo looked nice, but not the homey "bed an breakfast" type of place we normally... More

We were here in early October, and there was only one other couple staying here. The place felt desolate. Maybe it is better in the summer. The site is gorgeous - the grounds are really beautiful. Lovely pool, nice buildings, peacocks and roosters roaming around. However, it is not near anything. Not a thing. In the early fall (still 75... More

It looked fantastic on first sight. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. We went there for a relaxing holiday after a stressy year. They sell it as a oase of peace, but unfortunately it was crowded and noisy as a ClubMed. The reason were some Danish families with a lot of children without any manners ! It seemed as if... More

We came just for an overnight on our way from Rome to Alberobello. The place is a little difficult to find, but if you use a GPS and plug in the coordinates you'll get to it. It is set amongst a beautiful landscape. We were unfortunate enough to have lousy weather, but one could just feel the charm of the... More

We really liked Villa Rizzo, and only wish we could've have more than one night there. The setting was beautiful, complete with separate villas at a reasonable price, an excellent restaurant for dinner (ok breakfast included), and a beautiful pool and spa all surrounded by the hills/mountains of Campania. They even had mountain bikes available, which would have been a... More

The gated entrance to the grounds is just the beginning. This small resort is nestled in the mountains and is surrounded by hazel nut trees. The each building is unique and the rooms are spacious. The pool area is tranquil, plenty of areas to relax in the sun or shade. Great breakfast each morning. This was our first hotel on... More

Rooms and pool excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely and tranquil - just the place after a days site seeing. Within an hour of Vesuvius, Pompeii, Herculaneum and the dramatic Amalfi coastal drive (need to be very relaxed for that). Would definitlety recommend and would love to go again ourselves. More

I stayed at Villa Rizzo this August for one week with my husband and two children, ages 6 and 10. Our stay was nothing short of magnificent. The owners, I Signori Rizzo, and all of the staff were extremely helpful and always pleasant. Our room, a suite, was clean and spacious, as was the bathroom which had both a handheld... More
