You could not get a better location fir walking Kinder Scout. Although the pub is a little dated it is welcoming and friendly. Very dated with dirty heavy on the eye carpets. The room we stayed in was small, too small for a wardrobe or chest of drawers, in the en-suite was the worlds smallest sink and a compact shower with mo more than a dribble of water, you could not fill your kettle from the sink as it would not fit!. Great location for walking in peaks , however the room was basic, v uncomfortable bed and tiny bathroom, food was not the best although the beer was a plus, the bar area needs a major revamp to make it more appealing . Would not revisit.
