I stayed here with my girlfriend and had an absolutely lovely time. The staff were very polite and cordial, the atmosphere was amazing and it was the kind of r&r that we were craving. It was a very nice location and we were provided with everything that we needed to be able to enjoy a delightful holiday. 10/10 would recommend... More

The location and surroundings are a heaven on earth for those that love stillness and beauty. Our room, and the others that I glimpsed, looked like something out of an exclusive interiors magazine framing the amazing views out of every window. It is not a place to go to be fussed over but to be left in tranquility and calm.... More

Our experience at Castello du Vicarello was fantastic. A true Tuscan experience. The accommodations are rustic but unique and charming. Service is understated but efficient and personal. Food was good - and the chef went out of his way to accommodate dietary needs, using the freshest local ingredients. A morning yoga class with the Yoga masteqr was a delightful start... More

We arrived in the evening for a 4 night stay and found ourselves being met near the entrance by a staff member with a lantern. He guided us in to our parking spot and proceded to lead the way to the castle along a walkway which was lit the entire way by these same lanterns. Dinner was being prepared for... More

We arrived at Castello di Vicarello for our three night stay with some apprehension, after reading the polarised views on trip advisor. We have stayed at quite a few exclusive places around the world, and therefore we were not phased by the price, and tried to stay open minded. The thing is that you do get picky when you spend €900... More

Dear Guests, how can I forget you, a very nice couple who visited us last August. Thank you for your kindness and the nice words you spent for us. I regret not to have followed my instinct to spend more time with you. I am in love with Greece, and being your country of origin, I wanted so much to... More

I was only lucky enough to have dinner here on a beautiful Saturday summer evening. The most amazing setting, with stellar views over the Tuscan hills. The dinner was served on top of the castle roof, absolutely gorgeous. The food was equally fanstastic, a beautiful wine list and great staff, who are super helpful and friendly. It's a splurge, but it... More

My partner & I had the most wonderful three days in this Castello. We simply didn't want to leave. The only issue was our expanding waistlines - as we couldn't resist the four course tasting suppers every night. Would love to return soon.

This is the first time we write a review but we thought it was important to set the record straight on the hotel. Starting with the positives, it is difficult not to find the the place absolutely charming. The 11th century house (the main area) is beautiful and was furnished and decorated with a lot of taste. The garden is... More

We went to Castello di Vicarello for a wedding. Lovely setting, amazing views, beautiful place. However, whilst the staff were all lovely, the management was borderline rude, unhelpful, very reluctant to admit mistakes or apologize when some were made. We were supposed to check in at 11am, but when we arrived at 11.30, they were not ready for us, and... More

We stayed here for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon trip. It is undeniable that the buildings, settings and pools are absolutely stunning and this is the main selling point really. The dinner setting (roof top by candle light) was absolutely divine, seriously unbelievable, and we had some of the best wine of our trip here, as well as... More
