We biked 86 km to reach Villafranca and the hotel was a welcome sight. Rather bland on the outside, it offered comfort and hospitality and what more can you ask? The staff were excellent, if the motorway noise was a bit intrusive, but when you're tired... Recommended.

This parador was rebuilt a couple of years ago and could now pass as a slightly upmarket Travelodge or Novotel (at 25% higher prices). Just a very - or should I say extremely regular hotel. Shocked that it was a Parador. Rooms were clean, but not comfortable. Skip this Parador if you are a Parador person. Lobby and surrounding area were dull and unimpressive. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't really good on any level.

Very nice parador in a beautiful region. Completely redone building. Large, very clean, rooms and bathrooms. Wonderful breakfast. Other meals are excellent, although the service is a little slow.

Stayed as a group of 16 walking part of the Camino. Recently renovated (very well) parador. Lovely rooms, spacious, windows that open for fresh air, very quiet area ( unusal in Spain!).
