Staff english is limited but they do make a really strong effort, the TV,CNN is the only english language channel, even the premium pay tv is only in Japanese. No in room safe.
They have a fresh ground coffee machine, vending machines and washer/dryer on the 2nd floor.
The shower was hot and the toiletries were good. The bathroom though small was perfectly adequate with thick towels and hairdryer etc. in fact nothing was lacking.
There is no restaurant but it is only a short walk to the station area with lots of restaurants and even Cafes for breakfast so that wasn't a problem.
The staff were helpful though not much English is spoken ( but that wasn't unusual everywhere we found).
I was pleasantly surprised at this hotel as it was cheaper than others and some reviews were not that good but I found it to be perfectly comfortable and no complaints at all.
However, the room was very small, even by Japanese standards. Physical keys should be upgraded to key cards. The third bed was an uncomfortable sofa bed. The bathroom is tiny. Shades let in too much light. Very expensive for what it is. The worst aspect was the noise from the hallway and other rooms. The three other hotels we stayed in in Japan had good soundproofing but this hotel did not.
I would not stay here again.
"Ask for rooms on higher floors and (I'm not sure if it's possible based on the layout of the hotel but if yes) rooms not facing the street."Read full review
