A pleasant hotel very close to the train station, hence excellent base for exploring Tokyo. The grounds are gorgeous. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. Fortunately for me, they all spoke Japanese, including the chef who made me a delicious omelette for breakfast.

rooms are not renovated since the hotel opened twenty years ago, it seems...sticky carpet, walls full with scratches, supersoft mattress, air con hardly to adjust, worst of all, could hear my neighbours all night long, and they weren't even loud...furthermore, staff is very polite, but hardly understands english. all in all, a miserable stay, was supposed to stay ten days... It's a little far from the JR station, but not too far. You can skip walking up the hill if you enter through the sister hotel.
