The hotel recreates the style of a London townhouse, combining classical elegance with modern practicality, ensuring the building blends in well with the plush surroundings of Aoyama-dori. In addition, the stylish grey and white facade, mixed with soft tones of limestone, provide a splendid contrast to the greenery around Akasaka. Meanwhile, the central location means that for business and leisure travellers alike, it is extremely convenient for access to the major hubs of Shibuya, Shinjuku and Tokyo Station. Please come and enjoy a relaxing and leisurely stay in the midst of the city.

Its clean and a good service, room too small, the heater sound bad, and water while talking shower change from hot to boiling, and it’s dangerous, 15 min walking from train station.but overall it’s clean and service good.

No sitting space around and hardly any room for a suitcase. All functions of room is so dated. Shabby Staff uniform and they are not a lively bunch. They all looks tired and slow. No iron was available, only good thing was breakfast food and variety choices of food in. Avoid this hotel and stay elsewhere.

The room size at Monterey Akasaka is typical of Japanese hotels of this type - small and a bit cramp. Still, what they manage to fit in the room is impressive despite its size. But the highlight is by far the breakfast, which is very varied and surprisingly not boring after 8 days. I also like that the location has a nice view to the side of a park (really less of a pakr and more an imperial residence) and is very quiet. Distance-wise the hotel is a bit far from the subways, but I find myself enjoying the walk and the little parks around the area. Overall quite a decent stay.

Stayed one week in this hotel for business. It is less than 10mins walk from the Akasaka-mitsuke metro station. It is in a relatively quiet environment facing the Akasaka palace. Had a single room which is the standard size room(less than 20sqm for a business hotel but it was clean and quite comfortable. It was super convenient for me as it is less than 5min walk to my office. I did not opt for hotel breakfast but instead had my breakfast at Doutor cafe where breakfast was good value for money. Starbucks and Tully's coffee are also nearby. Lawson minimart is also very near. I had the opportunity to run round the palace(it is not open to public) which is about 3.5km passing nice residential neighbourhood. No complaints with the services from front desk to housekeeping. All in all, i had a pleasant stay in the hotel and will probably return as it is super near to my office.

My family stayed here because this hotel provides a crib for infants. We also wanted to stay in a nicer area of Tokyo that was central and well connected to the tourist spots via the subway. Also, I prefer to stay at a hotel that is nicely furnished and decorated but still budget friendly. This hotel perfectly met all of these criteria. The location is great if you want to be in a quiet, safe spot that is only a 5 min walk to all the busy side streets and restaurants. We had a great view of a shrine and the imperial residence complex across the street, and a police station is also next door. The room was comfortable and neat and recently sized for the 3 of us, especially for Japan. My only concerns were that the bathroom sink was plugged with hair (miad didn't do a good job of cleaning) and when I turned on the air conditioning my allergies started to get set off due to dust (dusty HVAC ducts). So they need to focus on keeping up with these maintainance issues. We opted for the buffet meal. It was delicious with a lot of options, but mostly of the traditional Japanese variety (which I didn't mind). It is rather a formal dining area with a great view overlooking the shrine across the street. If in the area, I recommend a short walk to Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho, which is a nice, modern shopping complex with lots of dining options. We saw at least 3 different subway lines in pretty close proximity to the hotel, so a great location to explore Tokyo from. I would definately stay here again.

Room with double bed very small (typical of most hotels in Tokyo). Hotel needs renovation as furniture and carpets are worn out. Hotel only has a few chairs near check in counter, no other lobby area and there is no restaurant.

We stayed here for 6 nights and it was really nice. The room was quite small, but based on some of my research when looking at other hotels in Tokyo, that seems to be the norm. You can't open to big suitcases at the same time but that was fine for us. Location is great, close-ish to Shinjuku and Shibuya but not as hustly and bustly. Akasaka is more of a business area than outright touristy. Roppongi is only a 15 minute walk and the station is a 5 min-10 walk. The hotel is very clean and they provide you with slippers and pyjamas, a massive rice cooker/kettle which we used to make tea and pot noodles. The best thing about this hotel is that they give you a phone to use when you're out and about which was great when trying to find nearby restaurants and using google maps

Not in one of the more popular parts of Tokyo, but very conveniently placed close to a station with 2 underground lines and a stop of the Narita Limousine Bus. Nice hotel with not too small rooms (we were in the Double Queen). Good (but quite expensive) breakfast. If you do not need a big breakfast, you can economize by using one of the cafes or convenience stores near by. There is also a nice shrine on the other side of the street. Don't miss it!

I stopped here for 4 nights in September for my first trip to Japan and i would highly recommend! The location is amazing, a 5min walk to the ginza line which takes you to all the main areas. The staff were very friendly and happy to help, the room was nice and clean with good amenities and a very cool toilet! 5 star!
