The capsules are large enough to sit upright. The bedding could be softer, but is okay for one night. If you are taller than 180cm your feet may stick out. They do not turn off the lights in the hallway at night, so some of it shines through the pulldown blind. Remember to bring the eye cover they give you... More

Right in the heart of Kabukicho, this capsule hotel is convenient and won't damage your wallet. The capsule are pretty big and you will sleep like a baby. I didn't visit the Japanese bath at this one since there seemed to be 10 times the amount of people as there was in Osaka but I'm sure it's nice. I heard... More

This is not a hotel at all it is more than that, it is a capsule hotel and a japanese spa. For europeans and westners a must in Japan, but a little bit shocking at the begining, anyhow I undoubtedly it worths at least a one night stay. You pay for the capsule and you get the spa-onsen pass also,... More

Spent one night in the 'pod' hotel, just for something different. I was quite surprised on how easy it was for a person who cant speak Japanese to fit into this type of unique accommodation. The pod itself was quite roomy and comfortable. I actually enjoyed the experience. More

There's nothing more Japanese than a capsule hotel so I decided to stay while I was there for a couple days layover. As others have mentioned, shoes off when entering the premises and changed into the pajama provided. You may leave the hotel after checking in, to go out for dinner(there is a restaurant on site) or checking out the... More

For the single traveler a capsule hotel can be a decent budget option at a cost of 2500-3500 yen. Positives are the price, cleanliness, large baths, cheap food, massages and location. Another big plus is that most of the building is non-smoking now. Drawbacks are it can get pretty crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. Not much room to put... More

The hotel is located less than five minutes away from Shinjuku station with lots of nightlife, shops, restaurants nearby. Check-In was quick and the staff, while not fluent in english, was eager to help and managed to communicate well by gestures to compensate my lack of Japanese. You enter, take off your shoes and put them in a locker. After... More

Place was a bit hard to find, even though only a few minutes walk from JR Shinjuku station (make sure to take the East exit), but once you see the Shinjuku Prince Hotel, a big unmissable building, then it's directly across the street from that. The capsules are more spacious than I expected, and I didn't feel claustrophobic at all.... More

Having never stayed at a capsule hotel I finally decided to try one out and chose this place after reading some favorable reviews. The hotel is about 5-10 minutes walk from the east exit of JR Shinjuku station. It is also across the street from the Nishi-Shinjuku subway station exit. I had a difficult time finding the place. There was... More

A very odd but enjoyable experience. When I went I was the only non Japanese person in the hotel. It's full of young and old businessmen staying over for work. Beautifully clean and tidy. The bathing area is excellent, it has a large shared bath, plunge pool, sauna and an outdoor hot tub. A curio well worth trying for a... More
