had a nights break over easter & was very happy with the location, food & room. Was upgraded (free) to a room with a large stand alone bath overlooking the fantastic view from the window. Girlfriend loved this, not really my sort of thing prefered the shower in the seperate bathroom! Would of given it 5 stars but seemed to... More

Dear Ed P, I am so pleased you had a nice Easter break with us. Cotton hall is the only room we have with the bath in the room, and I do take your point that this is not to everyone’s taste. We never deliberately run on skeleton staff, but due to the unpredictable, and sunshine led nature of our... More

We stayed here for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The hotel was booked for us by our children and they made an excellent choice. We were B&B and had one meal at the hotel. Food was excellent. Staff were all friendly knowledgeable and approachable. Absolutely beautiful setting with a stream/river on two sides. Close to the busier villages such as Bourton... More

We stayed on a 3 night break at The Slaughers Country Inn May 2013 and were not disappointed. The hotel and surrounding area is simply stunning! Staff are very helpful and friendly. We stayed on a B&B basis but did book for dinner for one of the nights which was very enjoyable. We stayed in 'South Lawn' which was an... More

Just returned from spending our 25th Anniversary. What a wonderful, friendly place.. We were upgraded to a room that had a separate lounge and were even given a lovely glass of champagne each after dinner. Room was great, massive bathroom - staff very attentive, food was really good (especially the breakfast) Wonderful setting, would recommend this place to anyone unreservedly

We were so fortunate that our guides at Cotswolds Walks booked us here over the bank holiday. We had planned on staying in nearby Bourton on the Water but were recommended to stay here to avoid holiday crowds. Great advice. This is a charming small village and the hotel was a great, quiet place to stay with a large room... More

This was the first time at The Slaughters Country Inn, and it did not disappoint. Beautiful bedroom - so comfortable. The only negative comment was the size of the TV for the room, it was tiny!! Food and service were excellent. The surrounding villages, especially Bourton-on-the-Water, is not to be missed - full of unusual shops. Would definitely return.

This hotel is situated in an idylic countryside location. The rooms are fabulous, having stayed in 2 (the second a free upgrade!). The service is really good, including your first impression at reception, the barstaff, waiters, even the ground staff! The food is to die for (not cheap - but worth the money). If you want a bit of pampering... More

We stayed for two nights at The Slaughters Country Inn. The first evening was in a Classic Room with dinner as we had been given a Smartbox voucher. Excellent room, excellent service and food. The second night was some what unplanned as we had been booked into a hotel outside of Bath. This turned out to be a disaster and... More

What a fabulous place. Great location with archetypal Cotswolds' views, wonderful stone buildings, sheep grazing in the nearby meadow and stone bridges over babbling brooks. All-in-all real picture-postcard stuff but a little tired around the edges with spillage stains on the bedroom carpet, a shower water temperature control tap that wouldn't stay in quite the right place and a few...
