With a gorgeous location, this Parador is much better than the standard 3* hotel, with nice rooms and a good service.
The restaurant service is good, with a nice and sophisticated menu. Even on the bar, you can find some tasted traditional courses.
Near by this Parador, you can find several walking tracks.

We stayed here for three nights as the last stop of a month's holiday in Spain. We used 2 5-night cards (10 days at the Paradors) and this made it very good value. We had some breakfasts included and this caused some confusion with our final stay - but reception sorted it out with our travel agent in London. As...

We had a room overlooking the nearby pasture below the Picos de Europa with an outdoor balcony where we could watch and hear the herds move. The cable car is across the street Excellent breakfast with some notable ham and cheeses,. Dinners seemed expensive and we ate elsewhere.

First let me say that the location is absolutely stunning. The drive through the surrounding area to get to the Parador is fantastic as well. This Parador is very rustic, has more of a Swiss chalet or American western lodge feel than some of the other more glamorous Paradors. The food is ok but the service is very grumpy. Not...

The location couldn't be better- worth the stop. But bring your own breakfast and dinner or go somewhere else. This Parador doesn't begin to measure up to the others we have stayed in or eaten at. We had included both in our price and upon registering were told we needed to reserve a table for dinner- either 8:30 0r 10...

This Parador is marked 3 star, but merits a higher rating.
Its location is magnificent, at the foot of the funicular leading to the top of the mountain. The views are splendid, the drive up is a series of surprising gorges and valleys. The hotel offers large comfortable and well appointed rooms with modern bathrooms. The staff is most pleasant...

Worth the amazing scenic drive to reach this Parador. Not the best looking from the outside but service, rooms, food etc all very good. Good value for money and whilst there you must take the cable car to the top.

Price was very cost effective and the PARADOR is really recommended but remmeber 3 stars no more no less

As with so many Paradors in Spain, the location is sensational, but the hotel is let down by its slovenly service and hide-bound, rules-based Stalinist culture. Someone really ought to get a grip on these hotels, as they could be so much better. Having said that, this is a perfectly acceptable mountain hotel (only 3 star, not a top-rated Parador),...
