We decided to stay at Maltby (so named after one of the RAF pilots assigned to bombing Dams in Nazi Germany), after reading the elated reviews here on Tripadvisor. We were not dispappointed. What you get here is a personalized and hearty welcome, cosy and comfortable spotlessly clean rooms (we had booked the two of them, but Barbara, our hostess,... More

We were looking for a weekend break at Easter (and for my partners birthday) to relax from what has been a stressful year so far (trying to sell flats, preparing for a baby, changes in the work place, etc). It didn't take long after leaving Aberdeen for the drive up for the troubles to start melting away, and certainly after... More

We stayed four nights, rooms were very clean, warm and inviting, with a shared bath. Our group was from the same family, so this wasn't a problem. The home has a lovely view from almost every angle of the land around it, and owner Barbara was very helpful with directions and suggestions for us. She's a great cook, if you... More

Maltby House is a fantastic croft house, hosted by the most gracious Mrs. Poyser, and canine companion, Jack. The views are great at any time of the year; everything is accessible from this location. Comfort food, comfortable bedding, wonderful conversation, etc. We've been before and will definitely be back to visit. This is the perfect location from which to tour... More

Our five stars would start with the warm greeting at the front door, to the comfortable accommodations, to the great breakfast, to the beautiful view and to a wonderful hostess. It was a great experience and we would highly recommend a visit. More

This was a wonderful experience. Barbara's hospitality was so warm and friendly and helpful. Although the bedroom was a bit small, the bed was very comfortable and the washroom facilities were excellent. Everything was so clean. We also had a private den to relax in and watch tv. The scenery from the bedroom was amazing and so was the sunset... More

We spent a wonderful couple of days on Skye, and the Maltby B&B was ideal for us, and Barbara was the perfect hostess. She was friendly and welcoming when we first arrived after a long trip, and spent just enough time showing us around. Our room was very comfortable, with a lovely view out to the water with the mountains... More

We chanced upon this cosy B&B when we'd been let down by another which double booked our room. After a day long drive, we were exhaused and fed up, but were warmly greeted, and immediately felt at home. The whole place was very clean and nicely (and sweetly) decorated, especially the kitchen. It was here that were were presented with... More
