As a family we had the pleasure of staying and dining at The Bull Inn Downton during the Cuckoo Fair weekend. It was amazing, great food, great atmosphere, hog roast and live bands all day. The new management team are doing a fantastic job in bringing this delightful inn back to life. We would highly recommend a visit

We were staying locally in a cottage and decided to try The Bull at Downton for Sunday lunch. It was fantastic and very tasty. I'm usually very wary of pub roasts but this has restored my faith. The beef was delicious, a nice selection of sides and amazing parsnips. I think it might have recently changed hands so they are... More

Recently visited here with family and all thoroughly enjoyed the carvery. The new owners and their team were friendly and nothing was too much trouble . The service was excellent and food great. No complaints here and would highly recommend. Will be sure to go again.

Had the Sunday roast carvery, great portions, VERY well cooked. Had to wait for half an hourto have space enough for desert. Go for the crumble or the cheese cake! ! Work The wait. Will be back again soon.

We have been luck to visit several times over the last few weeks & the food is 1st class. Highly recommendable to come & eat here. I understand its early days for the new Management but they have made a really good start.

A pub really with accomodation. My local and on the whole I quite like the place. This pub has struggled to keep going over the last year or so. Used to do an excellent value carvery. Then the landlord left and has been run by temporary brewery managers for the last year and has gone steadily down hill. A new... More

£20 for 2 persons including a bottle of reasonable wine. 4 of us ate and the meal was faultless and plentiful . At 8 o'clock the place was deserted though. Please patronise the pub else the village will loose another hostelry .

We had an excellent carvery at The Bull. For £5.95 we had a carvery and ice cream sundae. There was plenty of meat , beef and gammon, and there was a good choice of vegetables which were all well cooked. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was obvious that they had regulars dining there. A very enjoyable meal.... More

We are local to the Bull, had lunch last week and enjoyed very nice lunch with pleasant staff, however on revisiting this week we were not treated quite as well ( different staff ) the food was very dissapointing! felt a little like we were interupting the staff's conversations! also on leaving we noticed at least two tables had not...
