We stayed at the West Farm only 1 night, but would have enjoyed to stay longer. Our room, the one with the half poster, was very large, quiet and comfortable. The ensuite bathroom fine. Everything clean. Gail treated us to her wonderful Christmas cake on arrival. Peter took his car out of the garage so that we could put our... More

We stayed at West Farm with Gail and Peter (the hosts) in July, it was our 3rd visit. The house is just yards from the sea in the quaint village of Appledore. We just love the Garden Room, comfy beds, lots of space to spread out and one’s own entrance door out to the garden, and what a garden! It’s... More

Another excellent trip to North Devon, made every bit worthwhile by Peter and Gale at West Farm. Situated in the old fishing village of Appledore, West Farm is a beautiful property, with stunning gardens, and excellent facilities. Guests are made most welcome, and are offered "a breakfast to die for." I have been a regular guest at West Farm during... More

We booked in here for our anniversary and intended to stay for 3 nights, however, after one night decided to leave and find another B&B. We were welcomed into the property by Gail's Husband. As soon as the front door was opened it became apparent that the property was not a no smoking property as advertised in the brochure. Peter... More

What a gem of a place ! Gail was most welcoming bringing us tea in her beautiful garden. The room was first class, spacious, light and tastefully decorated with very comfy beds! bathroom excellent also ,although a shower would be a great addition. Breakfast was undoubtedly the best we have EVER had, good quality, well cooked and wonderfully presented and... More

I have just come back from a three-night stay at West Farm, and I couldn't recommend it more highly. It's in a lovely location, just steps from the sea and from a very welcoming pub, and only a few minutes walk from the centre of this delightful small fishing town. My room - not en suite but with my own... More

I booked a two night stay for myself and my husband at West Farm for the nights of 17th and 18th September, I had read the other Trip Advisor reviews prior to booking and must say, we were not disappointed. West Farm was easy to find but it became apparent very quickly that parking at the front of the property... More

We stayed here for one night at this B&B whilst walking the South West Coast Path and it was one of the best decision we made on the whole trip. Gail and Peter Sparkes live in this manor house (it was a farm some 400 years ago) opposite the sea-front in the small village of Appledore. Gail and Peter are... More

West Farm is truly a glorious 400 year Grade 11 listed manor house set in terraced gardens in the heart of the delightful fishing village of Appledore in Devon. Gail and Peter Sparkes have created a peaceful retreat from the hustle of the real world. Charming, spotlessly clean bedrooms with comfortable beds and ensuites make your stay complete.Breakfast is served... More
