We had stayed 3 nights in this hotel and we found that it was a very nice Ski Resort. We had booked the Hokkaido Liner to this resort from New Chitose Airport. It cost ¥2700 per person if you booked online and it took approximately 2 hours from New Chitose Airport to Tomamu. We had a room with a great... More

The first time I heard about Hoshino Resort was by an article of having breakfast by a sea of cloud in the resort. We booked to stay in March 2013 was mainly because of a photo of an Ice Church within the resort. Then I found on their website that there was a promotion of 2700 Yen per person per... More

Tomamu is between Sapporo and Obihiro, about 90 minutes and an hour away respectively. This hotel has an excellent location right at the bottom of the ski slopes. There is a shuttle bus that meets every JR train at Tomamu station and likewise will drop you off in time. There are also shuttle buses to all the other activities around... More

Stayed at The Tower and we had a wonderful view of the snow covered mountains. The resort is an hour and a half away from Chitose airport by bus. There were many restaurants but I found it odd that there would be times when all the eating places would be closed. There is no room service. The food served at... More

My family really loves this place so much that we have decided to make it our annual winter vacation destination. This place is quite isolated, it is a small town on its own. Nevertheless, getting there is not a problem since there is a regular ski bus that you can book online and board at the New Chitose Airport. The... More

Powder snow was excellent. Resort had activities for kids, hot baths and so many restaurant choices . It's a bit isolated but the tower rooms have a good view of the mountains and the lifts. Wifi in the rooms, covered walkways, and best of all a huge heated wave pool - like an oasis in the middle of the snow... More

The Hoshino Tomamu Resort (to use the full name) is a huge, excellent and very well run resort specializing in winter sports (and it does also offer a summer programme). We visited at Christmas/New Year holiday, and despite being billed as the busiest time of the year, the resort is big enough and has enough restaurant and leisure facilities that... More

Stayed here about 5 years ago for a ski holiday, thought it was great back then but it's changed owner and now it's part of the Hoshino chain. I think it's still great, if not better. We stayed in tower 2 this time and the room was much much bigger than last time, so great to have a separate area... More

An environment of the hotel was great, can let you totally relax for your holiday. We are surprise that the hotel upgrade our room, that room was big enough and new. Maybe the time we went was not a peak period, the driver and the hotel members was help us to bring our luggage to JR station eventhough our luggage... More

We have just returned from Tomamu and all agreed that this shall be our last. We were holding high expectation of this trip to Tomamu after doing some research especially seeing good comments from other tripadvisor members. Upon our arrival and combing the area the first day, we felt that the rating on the resort was being over-stated. We would... More
