Fantastic scenery, peaceful quiet location and a very clean very well equipped cottage. Friendly and welcoming hosts that do respect your privacy. Our cottage had a lovely view of Mt Barney. We would definitely recommend this place to other couples and look forward to going back ourselves.

Stunning, very secluded location, the cottages are cosy and comfortable for a couple. The owners are very hospitable but respect your privacy. Would love to stay here again and finish the hike up mt maroon next time.

As advertised. It is in a quiet location. The cottage closer to pavilion has arguably better views of Mt Barney. Nespresso machine was a welcome addition. Good place for just reading. Kitchen a bit crowded and small but certainly adequate.

We recently stay at Kookaburra Cottage Farmstay. It's a couple's retreat as accomodation isn't suited for families. We had a lovely time exploring the property, creek area and playing with the dogs. The cottages themselves are very nice with amazing views across 3 enormous mountains. The cottage we stayed in didn't have a couch, just two single chairs. The fire... More

Thank you for the worthy comments made about our property. I would just like to point out we choose to offer prepackaged cereal and fruit for good hygiene practice and do supply ample quantities of milk, orange juice, bread and butter with a large selection of tea, coffee, jams and condiments for the light Continental Breakfast. If guests forget the... More

My husband and I recently stayed three nights at Tuckeroo Cottages, after first going there in November last year. We loved our stay the first time around, and we were not disappointed on the return visit. The owners, Gail and Mike, are really lovely, but for us, the friendly dogs really make the difference - it is so much fun... More

We have stayed here several times and have also taken our friends along for a break from the 'City' life. Lovely place to get away from it all and just enjoy the peace & quite. We took a drive one day to explore the area with our friends. We visited the Rathdowney pub for dinner one night for the best... More

I enjoyed a three night stay here in January with my husband, an escape from the rate race with no phones and no noise! Just the birds, frogs, dogs and each other for company. There are only two cottages at Tuckeroo and whilst there were people staying in the other cottage we did not see them! Its very private. The... More

What a wonderful review! Thank you so much for sharing this with us and others. It is nice to know guests pick up on the 'little extras' we add to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. With a location such as ours it would be a pity not to share our secluded couples retreat with its spectacular scenery and... More

Tuckeroo Cottages is an excellent accommodation option for bushwalking in the Mt Barney area. The cottages are set in large, landscaped gardens not far out of Rathdowney with two friendly farm dogs to greet you on arrival. Ample ingredients are provided for a continental breakfast. Plenty of firewood is provided to keep the cottage cosy on cool Winter nights. Be... More
