Me and boyfriend booked a week at the beach club two days before departure due to another holiday falling through. On arrival there was some confusion over our booking and our room was not ready. However, I can only assume this was due to the late notice. We were given a ground floor room that opened up directly onto the... More

I have now stayed here twice and each time the accommodation, staff, food and service cannot be faltered. Food is superb with a massive choice of menu to suit any taste, with speciality evenings. The staff are so friendly and helpful as so are the management, including the owner who I was privileged to meet. Nothing is too much trouble... More

We stayed at The Beach Club at the end of February as a family including 4 children under 4 years of age. The Beach Club is a Virgin Exclusive part of the St James Beach Club Resort. The Virgin rooms are central to the resort and although the brochure stated that we would be restricted to certain restaurants and bars,... More

On arrival at the Beach Club I was overwhelmed with excitement. While checking in you are given a glass or two of rum punch. then you are taken to your room. I had an upstairs room where my Mum and one of my sister's yes 22 of us (who was getting married) went down stairs. When I opened the door,... More

We stayed at the Beach Club in the St James resort in Antigua with our relatives at the beginning of March. Getting the transfer from the airport was chaotic with every man to himself, even though they were pre-arranged by the tour operators. Once eventually in a taxi, the journey was fine. We had Standard Rooms on the first floor.... More

We had such a wonderful holiday at he Beach Club that we can't wait to go back. We had an upstairs room which was huge and had everything we needed. The staff in particular made our holiday. They were all very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We have to mentiion the Duty Manager who mingled with the... More

When we arrived at The Beach Club we were immediately smitten by the location. Our bedroom on the ground floor had direct access onto the beach. Looking out through palm trees onto turquoise sea and with a cold beer in hand we looked forward to an idyllic week….. Suddenly the lady from the adjoining room appeared apologising for having kept... More

This was a much delayed recovery trip from an operation which exceeded all expectation. Having booked via Virgin, we were transported in some of their oldest 747s, though with the splendid service and some reasonable food and drinks, we did not suffer too much discomfort. The international airport in Antigua is small and chaotic, but once you have struggled through... More

Firstly if you are flying in then it is better to be at the front of the plane. As the queues can be long getting through customs and transport to hotels if part of your package is done by minibuses - no coaches on the airline. So as soon as they have 6-10 people the minibus leaves and the next... More

My new husband and I stayed at the Beach Club (part of St James Club) in Antigua for 10 days in early July 2010. We chose this property after lots of research and reading numerous feedback reports and were very glad we did! We basically wanted an all-inclusive property, with not too many rooms, somewhere in paradise but just a... More
