After touring the nearby Roman-era ruins, we returned to the hotel and enjoyed the terrace for Portugal's national aperitif, Taylor's Chip Dry White Port and Schweppes Tonic, in a tall glass with a few ice cubes, delicious. We found the staff professional, the food delicious and service always professional. We also enjoyed the local wines, the white alvarinho, fresh and... More

Finding this pousada is easy as its right off the highway and parking is readily available. Its a newer building without the charm and history of other pousadas but its clean, has a great location and great staff ! Rooms are comfortable but more modern like a hotel so the historic atmosphere is not there but walk out the door,... More

We loved our stay at the converted mansion. It's close to a small town that has local restaurants, with typical foods (goat, etc.), but they also serve dinner at the hotel. The staff were lovely, spoke excellent English. The rooms are not super luxurious, but they are clean and big, especially for Europe. Nearby are some Roman ruins that are... More

We enjoyed several days at this hotel. Its location provides easy driving access to the historic and fascinating city of Coimbra. This quiet hotel is also even closer to the Roman ruins which turned out to be almost as interesting as Pompeii! The hotel itself has a more modern feel about it than many of the pousadas we stayed in,... More

We chose to stay here en route from Lisbon to Porto. It is an ideal hotel to stay for visits to Coimbra (the Oxford of Portugal) and the Roman remains at Conimbriga, both of which are well worth the visit. This Pousada is more modern than others but we enjoyed a very pleasant stay. There were excellent choices for breakfast... More

We spent two nights here and really enjoyed the grounds, the breakfast, and the quiet setting. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The property is well-maintained. We would note that we have never had a mattress as firm as ours was--not something we loved, but we managed. If that is a problem one might inquire about that. But the hotel... More

My wife who's birthday we were spending at the hotel was taken ill (a reaction to food eaten in another hotel) soon after we arrived. The staff could not have been more caring or supportive, or indeed the emergency services and villagers of the town. Our room and terrace (which she saw a lot of) was superb. Dining room was... More

When we arrived in this pousada, we were told that we were upgraded since we asked for a balcony. Later on, the receptionist helped us by entering her own code, to get on the internet. (1/2 hour free). The room was pleasant, the balcony overlooking the big garden and the pool was great. The drinks we ordered, were the most... More

This pousada is really old world charm. It's not a beautiful building as such but it has class and it has a luxury feel. We got a very warm welcome at check-in from two lovely ladies. Also the next morning at breakfast (buffet) and at check-out the staff were very friendly. Our room was large, and very clean. So was... More

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your wonderful and useful comments on the staff performance, and also on the ambience and the room. We are very pleased to know that you have enjoyed your stay. Pousada de Condeixa was builded on the XVI century and, for many years, received people from European nobleness. We would be delighted to welcome... More
