We have just come back from our first trip to Crete, and will not be going again. We stayed at the Galeana Mare hotel Apparements, just outside the main town of Rethymon, I must say the apartments are self catering and are very basic, 2 ring hob, kettle, some plates cups and thats it no toaster iron, but they did... These apartments were very clean,spacious enough for us(we are a family of five) and in a good location very close to the beach. The beach here is not sandy however and is not the best for young children. absolutely stunning place to stay, friendly staff, apartments are very clean and comfortable. pool area is fantastic and is right on the beach! pool bar also a bonus! apartments are in a great location. plenty of restaurants and shops! will definitely be coming back here! More
