We were greeted on arrival by the chef/manager who was also from England. He was incredibly helpful and led us to our honeymoon suite. The room was fantastic and really good value. The hotel feels like it is situated in the middle of the jungle. There is a hot tub and a small plunge pool to relax. We booked ourselves... More

This was such a lovely little place, and the surroundings are amazingly beautiful! Very friendly staff and they offer free Kayaking to all guests. They have 2 small pools (One cold and another heated). This is a place to just go and relax. They also very close to some of the most beautiful hiking trails you will ever experience! My... More

This comfortable hotel, surrounded by hills and set just off the beach in Natures Valley boasts some almost preposterously idyllic surroundings. Despite there being a pub next door, the hotel was quiet, cosy and perfectly equipped for a romantic stay for two nights. However great the surrounding, it is in the gastronomy department that this place really shines. We had... More

Natures Valley is a beautiful spot - although not 'isolated' as one reviewer has posted. It is five minutes drive away from the massive highway that now skirts South Africa's entire garden Route. However, the surrounds are representitive of the magnificent original coastal forest that has now been largely dessimmated due to excessive development. The lack of petrol stations, large... More

Good day JaqTarr I hope the lond drive back to Windhoek was a safe one. The massive road skirting the Garden Route has its uses ! And with the best will in the world is at least a 15 minute drive up the beautiful Grootriver Pass. Also many thanks for the kind words left in our visitors book I know... More

My wife and I travelled the Garden Route recently on a belated honeymoon and Nature's Valley is without a doubt one of the best and least travelled spots along the garden route coast. I feel it is important, especially for foreign tourists, to manage their expectations of the accommodation on offer. It's important to realise that Nature's Valley is, in... More

We enjoyed a pleasant stay (2 couples in the 2 upstairs rooms) - we arrived to see For Sale Signs and advertised enticing specials at prices significantly lower than we had paid. Unfortunately the very flattering website pics are not really a true reflection of the reality (a VERY wide angle lens used) - both rooms were small and relatively... More

May we first thank you for taking the time to review Tranquility Lodge . We noted the lack of extra space and have mounted luggage shelves in all our accommodation giving so much more living area. It just goes to prove that a constructive review benefits us all ! Glad you enjoyed dinner with your family and yes we do... More

I travel so much for business that it takes a lot to surprise me. Tranquility Lodge has the sea across the road, natural wood everywhere, kayaks to utilise on the estuary and Mark's food that deserves an extra star. I have not enjoyed any stay anywhere as much. This is a gem worth visiting.

This place is one of my favorite places in the world. The staff are awesome, the owner is great and the chef should be a judge on Masterchef! That good. Definitely reccomend this secret to anyone looking for what you call a perfect holiday.
