A true English country pub with friendly staff and lovely comfortable rooms. The choice of food was fantastic with meals a cut above the norm and reasonably priced. Breakfast was perfect, with beautifully cooked eggs fresh from chooks out the back and tasty bacon. Highly recommended. More

What a great place! So full of character that anyone of average height or above will have to duck to avoid the ancient beams in the bedrooms. Not, I have to say, decorated to the highest standard but everywhere was scrupulously clean and who cares what the wallpaper looks like when there are all the other features to look at.... More
