We stayed at this lovely hotel for a couple of nights in May. Although at present there are renovations in progress, we nevertheless found the hotel to be very comfortable with excellent meals and the staff were efficient and friendly. The scenery around the area is spectacular, with lovely wooded hills, perfect for walking or driving.

Had the most amazing break at this wonderful hotel. The room was in the courtyard and was large and airy. Food was excellent as was the breakfast. Walks around the area were lovely and yet only a few miles from Scarborough. Excellent value for money.

We have just returned from a two night break at Hackness Grange, we were in the garden rooms, while these were clean they were very tired and in need of a complete overhaul. They had been recently decorated but without any of the preparation. The food was fine and the service was good.

We enjoyed a 2 nights "Gourmet Break" using Travel Zoo vouchers at a bargain price. Pleasant hotel in its own well maintained grounds in a secluded location. Never been to the Forge Valley before and it was a delight. Excellent high quality food and friendly and helpful staff. Recommended.
