Stayed here for a night and was ok, better than expected after the other reviews! Room was clean but a little tired. Excellent fried breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. Would stay there again.

The village of South Cerney is wonderful, lovely, beautiful but the Eliot Arms is none of the above. Insdie the building is old, run down and not in a rustic way! It appears to be stuck in the early 90s at best, with dirty glasses! The staff were polite but just so 'matter of fact' - it felt like they...

Great couple manange this wonderful 'Inn'- rooms are lovely. Evening meals and breakfasts very good. Village is gorgeous-wonderful setting next to a stream/weir; 2 rooms are 'four poster' and we recommend 1A which is a little building that stands alone with a bedroom/lounge and ensuite......lovely! All this needs now is Marstons to 'adopt' the bedrooms and install new bathrooms and...

I stayed here on the 9 march 2012. I did not choose the Eliot arms myself as a friend did.
We had the one of the rooms above the bar.
We had dinner in the bar with good choice, priced up as pub grub generally is.
The mattress was very hard hence why neither myself or my fiance could sleep,...

The Eliot has a public bar and restaurant, though this doesn't seem to feature as a separate restaurant option on TripAdvisor.
I ate here this weekend and the service and food were extremely lacking. The waiter who brought me my "main course", a vegetable Tagine, had slopped it all over the plate so it was a mess.
There was also...

My husband and I stayed here for one night as his work was holding there Christmas party here. OMG never again. The room we stayed absolutely stank of cigarettes. We don't smoke. The bed linen included. We slept with all the windows open lovely in December. The landlord said he couldn't smell the smoke as he was a smoker himself...

I stayed at the Eliot Arms recently whilst in the area on business. The Hotel is in the Cotswold Waterpark, an outstandingly beautiful area, but still within easy reach of the motorway system. I found the venue on Laterooms.com, and was attracted by the very reasonable room prices in comparison to other places in the area. The Eliot was certainly...

This is part of the Marstons chain of pubs and inns.
The food was ok for the price
When we tried to order a drink at the bar the landlord wouldn't even make eye contact with us and barked at us that "banks is off" with no suggestion of what else might be available or any type of conversation.
His...

I used to drink here, as did many other locals, until the new landlord was appointed. I'm not sure if he has noticed but his lack of warmth, customer service, and general unfriendliness has driven most customers to the pub across the road. I must add though that the other pub also came into new ownership shortly after the Eliot...

Very welcoming staff, comfy quiet room(s) and excellent good value meals. Not for tall people as the rooms are authentic 16th century with very low ceilings but we loved it. We were upgraded to the family room as the regular rooms were taken at no extra charge. The restaurant specials change each night and the full cooked English breakfast is...
