Not the best experience once can dream of. Room/sleep was ok, "surprise" dinner was somehow disappointing for the price (35 plus 12 for wines), nice park that rain did not allow us to explore, castle interior was cold and not so well and tastefully renovated. More

Quite easy to find – well signposted. A warm welcome from professional-like Josine – plus a complimentary bottle of local Chinon wine. This is a lovely chateau – much tasteful work has been done on it, and there are more improvements in the pipeline. It has nice gardens with a river flowing through, plus outside terraces – and a swimming... More

This hotel has the best of both worlds. Owners and staff, who are mostly Dutch, who are exceptionally welcoming and friendly, and an amazing French chef who produced a dinner that exceeded expectations four nights in a row. This was the owners' home until they decided to make it into an hotel and it has retained its own unique, elegant,... More

Dutch only service with a very cold welcome. Restaurant is open to public so every kind of people can have a table a test the pool. Not enough privacy for a romantique experience. Very poor services concerning activities in the area, especially for cultural or artistic purpose. An example of very bad taste in a nice place. My husband and... More

We booked this chateau for dinner only. My husband, Daughter, Son-in -law and their 3 children ages 12 years to 19. We had advised them 28 hours beforehand that one of us was vegetarian, and could they provide for that? The answer was yes, so off we set with great expectations of their `surprise' five course meals. We began with... More

Good hotel, but should be amazing! The chateau is stunning, though sometimes the balance between charming and tired is not quite right. We had the master suite which is a perfect example. The main bedroom was left untouched and gorgeous, like it was pulled straight from a historic romance novel. Four-poster bed, wooden floors, windows overlooking the grounds; just stunning.... More

We spent 2 days in this Château and enjoyed our stay. The suites are amazing and the surrounding park is lovely. There are areas where it can be improved though : The restaurant is no match to the Castle. Expensive and absolutely nothing worth remembering. Breakfast is a joke, don't expect anything from it. As for the restaurant, products are... More

We staid during 6 nights which seem to be rare, the majority of people staying for only one to 3-4 nights max. the owners really try to make you feel good from the first minutes to the last. the 35 EUR dinners are perfect. you do'nt know what will be the 5 course menu, but we ate 3 times out... We stayed here for 3 nights - room was huge, so was bathroom. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The highlight was the lovely food - 5 course "chef's" menu with a different wine for each course; it was excellent value too. Would definitely stay again if in the Loire Valley. More

This 10 bedroomed self catering Chateau is the ultimate relaxing getaway. The owners live on site (next door), and couldn't be more friendly and helpful if they tried. The Chateau is situated on the outskirts of a small rural French village, and has electric gates, giving you total security. The gardens are huge - the day we arrived there was... More
