Richard and Trish made us very welcome to the house which is also their home. Our bedroom which had a queen sized bed faced the drive but was very quiet. I have never stayed in a hotel which had an open fire in the bedroom, just the thing if you return in the evening after returning from a long walk in... More

We have just returned from a two night stay at this beautiful, quaint and romantic country house. The bedrooms are individually designed, each with an open fireplace which makes for a cosy, comfy and romantic get away in peaceful country surroundings, set in acres of ground with the option for lovely walks. The food in the restaurant, which has individual... More

Returned after many years as was booked a surprise and I wasn't disappointed. It's a little out of the way but well worth it. Our Room was very large, airy and had plenty of Pillows, T &C making facilities and Plenty of Toiletries. Although a little dated it adds to the ambience and wouldnt look right if modernised. Richard is... More

Richard and Trish are the perfect hosts....very attentive and everything so personal which often is neglected with other establishments. Highly recommend the superb food in the restaurant and the breakfast definitely hits the spot. Please take time to absorb the history of the guesthouse....two words...utterly splendid! :) More

There is so much to say about this place, the surroundings, the decor, the charm, the food and the host was all excellent. We were able to light an open fire in our bedroom after our dinner which just added to the ambience. The food was superb, plenty of space at the table. Breakfast again was great, lots of fresh...
