Went here for dinner tonight and what a disappointment! My meal of frozen scampi and frozen chips was passable, shame about the Heinz tartar sauce, my husband on the other hand had "pork tenderloin" which was pork fillet stuffed with dried apricots served with gluey mustard sauce, tasteless unseasoned vegetables and lumpy unseasoned waxy microwaved potatoes! Stayed in room no 5, TV didn't work, walls need painting, no headboard, ceiling has been quickly repainted & goes half way down walls as well !!, bathroom mirror too high unless you're very tall !! Squeaky floorboards.. Very disappointing for £75.00 for double room. On the plus side we had a lovely breakfast and staff very friendly and helpful.

...the rest was all fairly ho-hum. It did the job (and you're not exactly spoilt for choice for decent pub food in the local area) but it's not memorable. Food didn't appear home-cooked and had a distinctly bought-in flavour. Friendly service though and it saves risking your gastro-intestinal tract in Tiverton itself.

Superb meal, extremely friendly staff & the local customers were very chatty, most importantly of all...dog friendly. Stopped off here last Friday with a couple friends. We enjoyed bar meals before travelling onwards to Tiverton. Excellent menu choice and the food was very good, arriving at the table quite quickly bearing in mind the bar was quite busy with other parties of diners. Great atmosphere and very good service.
