Stayed here for 1 evening - the hotel and location are simply stunning, peaceful and relaxed. If you are looking for city centre chic/boutique style hotel then this is not for you - if you want relaxation, country living, and great food then look no further. 2 things are apparent - the staff have all been really well trained and... We stayed here for a long weekend, as we have done for many years. This time it was a special birthday. Cannot commend the dining room staff highly enough.. they accommodated everyone, even the fussy eaters in our party. We stay in the Riverside Annex because we can literally walk out of the bedroom door on to the river bank... More

We stayed two nights when attending a family wedding in Blairgowrie. The rooms we had werent the best (mine had a tiny bathroom and water stains in the ceiling room 6) .I did get a look at others and some are really lovely. Perhaps the better rooms cost more. I liked the relaxed slightly worn look of the place but... More

Stayed with friends again this year. Restaurant standards have clearly fallen since our visit last year. We booked a table at 8pm only to have our main course served at 10pm. The food quality was well short of Ballathie standards. I think that this was especially evident having eaten the previous evening at The Apron Stage restaurant in Stanley which... More

We came back to Ballathie as a family over Easter as we have done on a number of previous occasions. We were not disappointed. We were greeted as old friends and everything was done to make us welcome and feel at home. There have been some staff changes but you wouldn't have noticed. The food in the dining room was... More

I have just celebrated my wedding at Ballathie House Hotel and could not recommend it enough. Even though there were 140+ guests to feed, the food was fantastic and the service great. The manager that we worked with over the past 8 months helped ensure that all our guests had a great time at the wedding and during their stay... More

We are just back from staying one night at the hotel where we enjoyed dinner, bed and breakfast. We had booked the bed and breakfast on a savings website and having previously visited for afternoon tea decided at the price that it was well worth it. We were given a room on the ground floor, past the kitchens. I thought... More

Stayed just one night, it was a really relaxing break. We had a lovely room, looking right out at the Tay, our room was exceptionally quiet & we had a great night's sleep. Good shower too, even though the style of the room & bathroom was older, we had no complaints at all. Someone has spent time training the staff... More

Just back from spending 2 nights at Ballathie, well deserved 4 star rating. We were in the River Suite which was extremeley comfortable and the French doors in the lounge allowing us to walk outside down to the River Tay was the icing on the cake. Breakfast menu was very good a lot to choose from and the breakfast was... More
