Some of the reviews pummel this hotel, but it is not that bad. "Grande" refers to views, not the rooms, but only if you get a room facing Denali Park area. Based on previous reviews, I expected the worst. Still not great (clean but worn and the restaurant food left a lot to be desired). This was part of a Celebrity cruisetour and I think they should do better. More

Beautiful hotel, great views of area. Shuttle to "downtown" which is at bottom of hill. Downtown consists of a number of gift shops, a few small restaurants/coffee shops. Restaurant at Grand Denali is pricey, but then most everything in Alaska is expensive. More

The winding gravel road in the shuttles is a bit steep, but the view is nice at the hotel. The shuttles run quite a bit, even from the restaurants back up which was convenient.
