We were not disappointed in any respect. North Face has it nailed! For a photographer or nature lover if you are going to do Denali this is the only choice. Being deep in the park gives you easy, uncrowded access to the beauty of Denali. Daily excursions come in three levels of intensity ranging from vehicle touring to "you better... More

From all the reviews I read and the $515 each/day price, I was expecting more. The scenery did not disappoint. Clear blue skies, majestic Denali, gorgeous autumnal tundral tapestry. Aurora borealis at 0130 in the rain. Exquisite, truly inspiring and awesome. Words fail me. Staff were helpful and concerned. I like a little less structure though. The meals were, well....they... This is an expensive stay, but absolutely well worth the cost. The quality of almost everything about the lodge is excellent; the lodge itself, the fantastic location, the guided activities, the chance to meet people from everywhere in a convivial setting, etc. The food was good. It is an absolutely unique experience. Although you can visit Denali by staying outside... More

Location and Staff are incredible. The lodge offers daily excursions, browser, moderate and strenuous. Each is guided by one guide and if too many people sign up the group is divided in half and each group has a guide. The guides are extremely knowledgeable about the flora, the geology and everything else that a traveler might want to know about... More

First visited Alaska in 1971, and visited this lodge 90 miles in from the railhead and visitors center at Denali. They continue to attract lively people to staff the facility, playing bus drivers and guides throughout. Varied pace for activities each day, some involving sister facility Camp Denali up the hill. Other guests are usually very interesting, and the family... More

We booked our stay at the North Face Lodge over a year in advance. This was a much anticipated trip! The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the food is excellent. There are guided hikes every day. The staff is very impressive - they do all of the jobs around the lodge and are very knowledgeable about the ecology of... More

My family of six traved inside Danali National Park to stay at this beautiful little lodge. It is first class service and the staff members are there just for you. It is for hiking and being in the middle of nature. " Relaxation and adventure combined." It is a bit expensive, but will worth it, at least once. One can... More

Dear Olivia089, Thanks for your candid review of North Face Lodge. We're glad you and your family enjoyed your time at the lodge, and inside Denali. We'd like to clear up a little confusion about the rooms and their views since so many people are reading these reviews, and then calling to speak with us, where they hear slightly different... More

There are not enough adjectives to describe how fantastic our stay was at North Face Lodge. The staff is what truly made this an experience of a lifetime. They are well-versed in the outdoors and are eager to share their love of this wilderness area. The planned activities were perfect for all levels, and the ability to have unplanned activities... The North Face lodge provided us withe opportunity to see wildlife and landscape scenery that we will remember for a lifetime .We treasure the hundreds of pictures taken and marvel at what we viewed. Where else can you find great views of Mt.McKinley and have a short walk to Wonder lake. The fall colors were a surprise to us and... More

Not desiring to be repetitious, I would encourage you to read the many other reviews. I will attest to their accuracy and fair-minded representation of the layout and cleanliness of North Face Lodge. However, just as my wife gushed in abrupt honesty while I was attempting to capture the vivid, explosively rich fall-flavored colors painting the taiga landscape with my... More
