4 of us enjoyed our 2 night stay at carlos creek cabins. The bath houses are very clean and large. It's a beautiful area next to the rushing creek and near Denali. We walked across the road and ate at a restaurant called the perch. We all agreed, it was the best dinner of the trip.

I stayed here back in 2006 when we were travelling around Alaska with the lads and again in 2012 when I was there for the honeymoon. It is a really nice place to visit and close to the Denali National Park entrance as well that it wont kill you to get there for tours or get tours to come out... More

We stayed here in early September, after having first discovered Carlo Creek Lodge on a prior trip in 2009. If you don't mind a short (10-15 minute) drive to reach the entrance area to Denali NP and would rather not stay near the hustle and bustle and multitude of gift shops right north of the park entrance, we can't recommend... For $95, this was a bargain. The cabin was nice and sizable. The showers were hot. We had one incident where an employee thought our truck wasn't registered at the cabins. When we pulled in after dinner, he drove wildly toward us in a threatening manner in his small truck. He claimed he was just protecting the place and didn't... More

Stayed in Cabin 5. 3 beds, microwave and private bathroom. Shower was tiny, but serviceable. Laundry and shared shower facilities for other cabins were clean. Definitely on the lower end of the accommodation scale, but it suited our needs - close to Denali, reasonable price, comfortable beds, private shower. Beds were clean, but carpeting was a bit grungy. I did... More

We stayed in Cabin T for 4 nights. Comfortable bed, close to shower house (very clean), laundry, and a great view of mountains from front porch. Great value for the money. About 15 mins. from park. Temperatures dropped down to the 30's while we were there but the heater in the cabin kept it nice and toasty. We talked with... More

We chose to stay in Carlo Creek before & after spending 4 days in Denali NP. Wanted a more authentic, low key place to stay than anything in Glitter Gulch would be. Stayed in cabins 1&5. Cabin 1 has full kitchen facilities and would be a great place for olks who want to cook. Nothing fancy, but nice rustic log... More

I stayed in cabin T, which is really awesome, overlooking huge mountain and trees growing on top. The size is about right for me and the bed was cozy enough. Bathrooms are very close to the shared cabins and its bright in the middle of the night so nothing to worry. There are couple of restaurants, which have great food,... More

The carlo creek campgrounds are excellent. The laundry room and the private showers with connected toilets are the best. The campgrounds are well maintained. The staff was friendly. Across the street is a great pizza place called Panorama Pizza with cornhle, and hilarious hippie bands playing live music.

Ensure that you disclose whether you have 3 children or 4! The owner and staff will follow and stare to ensure that you disclose the exact number of children so they can charge you for it. The "owner" stated I needed to pay an additional $15 per night for an extra child? Wow! Never heard of such a thing. They... More
