My wife and I did a circle tour of National Parks in late April 2013. We were fortunate in encountering only fine weather and reasonably-sized crowds at all the sites. We went to Zion (Zion Lodge), Bryce (Best Western), Arches (Sunflower Hill), Monument Valley (The View), Grand Canyon (Maswik Lodge) and Hoover Dam (Silverton Hotel Las Vegas). I have comments... Stayed here as part of a package booked through Grand Canyon Railroad. Location can't be beat. A very short walk to where the blue and red shuttle buses meet, maybe 5 minutes. You also get a lovely view of the Canyon from there. Check in was fast and easy, our room was even ready a couple hours early. They provide... More

Wonderful Hotel and staff! Clean rooms and right in the Grand Canyon, convenient free buses to take you from place to place in the park. Cafeteria style food but you can get the bus to Angel Lodge and El Tovar and they have sit down restaurants. Would recommend staying there.

Surprised that at such a special place the rooms were NOT good. Air conditioning didnt work the rooms were not that clean and WHO decided that making a cup of tea using a coffee maker was a good thing!! horrible. We nearly died in the night because of the heating system that somehow was working instead of the airconditioning NOT... More

Stayed 2 nights at the Maswik Lodge. A nice in park lodge for the price. We walked to most restaurants and the rim trail from the hotel. The room was clean and fairly spacious, but could use some updating. Included a mini fridge which is nice. We were on the first floor in the Red Bud building. Parking is right... More

My family recently stayed at the Maswik as part of a package through the Grand Canyon Railway. We planned our trip at the last minute, and without this option we would not have been able to spend a night in the park at all, so my review is quite positive even though I will mention a few negatives. Several people... More

This room was roasting on an 80* day. The room itself is fine, the shower surprisingly good, but too hot to be comfortable. It's a decent place to stay in the Grand Canyon though and the parking is convenient.

We were assigned to three rooms and each one requires new beds, mattresses, new/up-to-date bedspreads, and new flooring. Each room lacks warmth, coziness and cleanliness. Air circulation is also poor and television is blurry. Wall fan unit is too close to the bed.

Yes it is a bit dated. Just think of how old the Grand Canyon is!! I really enjoyed staying in the park. It was GRAND! Looking at some of the other Lodges I think Maswik is a great choice. It would be nice to stay at any of them but I think people walking past your window all day and... More

Stayed here as part of the Grand Canyon Railway package. We were in the North section of the lodge, which is touted as the better part. It was nice, but not great, which makes me wonder what the South section is like. The lodge is really a collection of buildings around the main building. Even with the map they give... More
