Our experience at the hotel & park were definitely more positive than some others - I think because we got exactly what we wanted (access to the cave and park trails), and didn't really care too much about how outdated the hotel was (as long as it was clean). We stayed in a Heritage Trail room on the first floor.... More

We stayed at a Sunset Terrace room. Our first room had a mold smell to it and the fridge was dirty. They changed our room without any hassle. The second room was much better. It was a basic circa 1950's room. Clean and comfortable. Would stay there again. The restaurant at the lodge had a surprisingly diverse menu and the... More

We stayed in the Sunset Terrace rooms. They were as expected. Out of date but clean and comfortable. And the bonus was a TV and air conditioning. We haven't had that in other National Parks. It's a bit pricey for what you get but nice to be able to stay right at the Park. We ate a breakfast and 2... More

Our experience at this outdated hotel was much more positive than others have reported. We had a second-floor Heritage Room facing the woods with a small balcony. The room was small and needed refurbishing, but it had a flat-screen TV, refrigerator and the bed was more comfortable than the ones in higher-priced hotels that we had recently stayed in. We... We stayed in the Heritage Rooms and had an upper room facing the parking lot. The other side of the hotel overlooks a trail. The hotel is older but our room was clean and I loved having a little balcony to sit out on and watch the bats at dusk. The second night it rained so a noisy family that... More

Sunset Terrace rooms are old, really old, and dirty: spiderwebs, insects, dirt on the floor. The blankets are disgusting - bring your own! We were going to move into the Heritage Rooms but they seemed really small and no better. But, it is close to the cave, and that is a big plus. Stay there, but be warned, and don't... More

At $114 a night, I had high expectations for the hotel. It was a true disappontment. The outbuilding rooms were not well maintained. Exterior with chipping paint. Interior drab. Limited hot water in the evning. More

First the "pros" - the location couldn't be more convenient for the cave tours. You just walk about one minute over a bridge, and you're in the middle of the visitor's center. We also enjoyed the restaurant, particularly the pancakes! There is also an expansive lawn where we played bocce ball (you'll need to bring your own). The price is... More

The hotel was out of the 60's, but was clean comfortable and convenient. Loved the birds waking us up in the morning. Stayed in main hotel. More

We stayed two nights in the Sunset Terrace rooms and ate our meals in the hotel. The motel looks and feels like the 50s, but is perfectly acceptable and the best way to visit the park. The menu and the service in the cafe and restaurant are homey. There is limited internet access in the park, but we used the... More
