So my friend and I decided to travel on the island Sibu and we chose this Twin Beach Resort. They promise you a lot of activities and comfortable chalet. Emmm, no... After check-in we faced a broken air-conditioner & no water in chalet. Ok, they have fixed it. But they could check everything before we arrived. About activities: they don't provide you anything but you can rent a boat: the price is fixed for any amount of people. That's why it was too expensive for two of us. There was no wind-surfing and jungle-tracking. Moreover, big cockroachs climbed in our chalet, our bags. Lizard was on the ceiling. Omg, no. It was too much for one day there. The only plus I can say is food. Food in included in the cost of staying there and it's amazing. But fresh food and freah juice couldn't help. And we left. So I can't say It was pleasant and relaxing holiday

Great place. Took a boat ride from the Tg Leman Jetty to the resort. Nice and clean. There are beaches on both sides of the area. Minimal wi-fi, although if you're spending time on the beach, you won't be needing it anyway. Also, nice cosy rooms. My children and family enjoyed it. Locals are friendly. Satelite television only available at the lobby/lounge area. Overall, really enjoyed the trip.

Twin Beach has a wonderful, peaceful vibe. It reminded me of Koh Phi Phi in Thailand (20 years ago maybe pre-tourist/resort/hostel invasion) with the crescent shaped beaches on either side and 1 side being more beautiful powder sand and the other side a rocky beach. They have chalets that are quite large and functional with bathrooms and AC. The morning sunrise comes up over the hill to the east is lovely. Although quite a large property, it doesn't give you that impersonal vibe of a resort. You have your own space to roam and enjoy what nature provides. I was traveling alone, which I enjoy and I did not feel forced into participation but also felt comfortable socializing with the other guests. The staff was all very friendly also, but never too friendly. I always felt safe and comfortable. They may have given me too much food for 1 but it was all so good. I am not a vegetarian but I do not eat beef or chicken, which they accommodated my random eating habit with stride. They provided not only wonderful vegetarian meals but a great selection of seafood. The fish was amazing! The only thing I missed was chocolate, so bring some if you are a fan also. The local village is walking distance and this had a wonderful vibe as well. The people were friendly but quiet and they have a beautiful beach as well. The only thing that messed me up a little bit was the boat to get there was several hours late leaving, so don't get there early and if they tell you a time just anticipate later. Also the sand fleas are prevalent so don't try yoga in the sand as I, in the mornings and evenings without protection. I would have stayed longer if I had not been terribly bitten and had to go to the mainland for pharmaceutical relief. Stop at a pharmacy prior and be prepared. I will definitely be back to visit Twin Beach resort. I wish I could live there! Loved it!

We are couples on our honeymoon stay taking the 3D2N packages... Overall it was a very pleasant stay, we arrived at Tanjung Leman Jetty about 1040hours. Soon after I called representative who told me to make payment for jetty fee, about RM5 each, and fee for the Jabatan Taman Laut Malaysia also RM5 each. After 20 minutes, our boat arrived and Mr. Nazri was already there to take us to the island, the trip from the jetty is about 20 - 25 minutes. The beach (sunset beach) is clean with clean, clear water... The chalet is acceptable. You are booking a chalet, so, don't think is going to be a 5-star facilities or amenities. Simple wooden chalet with 1 queen bed, 1 attached bathroom facing the South China Sea. Long stretch of beach (even though it can be cleaner as there are too many drinking bottles and plastics). We are locals, we're used to mosquitoes and insects it doesn't bother us too much. For those who cannot tolerate insects do bring your insects repellent. Electricity only available between 1800 to 0900 hours. So, bring your power cord extension or battery bank if you bring a lot of gadgets that need charging. There will be no Wi-Fi, my 3G broadband works just fine even though it only receive Edge. The food is excellent!!! Again, you get what you pay, we sometimes thing the food is too much... it was lovely...

for rm330 for a 3d2n full board, this place is pretty amazing. do not come here if u need a spa to relax,a pool for the kids or a gym to unwind in but instead head over to destress and reunite with nature.no wifi, strong breeze, clear waters, plenty of fishing, brilliant beaches, polite and helpful staff, walkabout in the afternoon, coral fishes 20m from your room is what you'll be getting. well worth the 6th ours driving we made with our 2 boys aged 5 and 2.3. and we set up a tent outside the chalet so the boys cud mess around and have their barbeq. It feels safe. We had the beach to ourselves plus plenty of outdoorsy stuff to do. It was brilliant. the food is fresh and plenty of local flavors. plus the night skies is to die for!

We stayed at the Twin beach resort in the first week of August 2013, just before the Hari Raya and Singapore national day break and found an empty resort totally to ourselves. Pulau Sibu is a relatively small island and 3- 4 hour (depending on checkpoint jam) driving distance from Singapore. There is ample and secure parking space at the jetty at Teman Leman. The speed boat ride to the twin beach resort is about 20 mins. We left from Singapore at 8:30 on a sunday morning and were in our rooms by 12 noon. The huts/rooms are OK, bathrooms OK and sheets and towels are clean. I found the mattresses soft and bouncy. The huts get quite hot on a sunny day, but if the breeze is blowing favorably its quite comfortable. Please do carry your toiletries-soaps, shampoos and stuff you need. the resort is in a narrow strip of land and is blessed with 2 beaches....one for sunrise and one for sunset, which are spectacular, specifically the sunset from the jetty. You may swim, snorkel, kayak, fish, hike, walk to the villages and engage in various activities. There is carrom, a few board games and a TV with cable(Astro) in the common area/lobby. You may also wish to carry books. The food is good, but may get repetitive after a few days. The stuff is always smiling and helpful but language/english is a barrier. The cook does offer vegetarian food, but the options and range is limited. The negative-- the place has sandflies............lots. Our limbs ate still itching and we have been back almost a week now. Do carry repellents....... they may not always be very effective. Overall its an excellent place for a quite relaxing getaway with family.

If you are looking for a high class resort, this is not the place to be. I've read reviews about Twin Beach which I think is unfair. First of all, you pay for what you get, so don't expect a 5 star resort if you are paying a 3 star rate. We stayed 3 days 2 nights (19 July 2013 - 21 July 2013) Twin Beach has a few choices of accommodation, mostly twin sharing, in a traditional Malay kampung style wooden chalets. Chalets are adequately furnished and the washrooms are clean. All chalets are beach front. For RM20.00 difference, you get air-con & water heater. Out of the 3 chalets we got, 2 of the water heater are not working, but my travel mates think that it's alright. Air-cons are working fine. As the chalets are not big, it gets cool down easily. As the name sounds, this resort being on the thinnest stretch of the island, have 2 beaches. We chose the chalets facing Pulau Tinggi as the beach there are wider & nicer. They even named the beaches Sunset Beach & Sunrise Beach. Not hard to guess, you just have to choose which beach to go to if you want to witness the sun setting / rising. For us, all we have to do it sit on our porch, and we get to see the sun rise! The lawns are kept neat and tidy. The beach is clean as well, but beware of sand flies! As we are the only group there, we get the beach all for ourselves. Meals are served ala-carte style. No buffet as there's only 6 of us. Staffs are friendly. They even offered to take us trekking to nearby resorts with better facilities (spa etc.). We have encountered big monitor lizards. 2 of us out on a canoeing trip got frightened by a water monitor. On our last night, one of us nearly stepped on a snake (later on found out it was a cobra). We were told that there are wild boars on the island as well. We are that close to nature! Points to note: 1) Bring your adapter / extension as there are not enough power points to plug all our electrical devices 2) Beware of sand flies! The bites itch like hell! 3) No supply of drinking water in room. Bring your bottles to refill at clubhouse 4) Convenience store is 10 minutes walk away in another village. Bring whatever you need along. Don't expect to buy from the resort what you've forgotten to bring. 5) Bring things to keep yourself occupied. No TV in room. 6) Phone reception is real bad. No wifi. Be prepared to be cut off from the world. (sometimes that's the only way to be able to relax) 7) Bring a good torch light. It gets very dark at night.

We booked a trip starting 10 March 2013. On 9 March 2013 my wife received a call saying that the resort had cancelled our holiday as "the weather was bad". This was not true - we immediately and successfully booked another holiday on Pulau Sibu. In any event, we know the weather in Johore and holidays are not cancelled at 24 hours notice in mid-March. Given the cancellation at 24 hours notice I would not rely upon this resort at all. Given the dishonest excuse I would give them a very wide berth indeed.
