Mar Vista is certainly not what most people would consider a resort. It has very dated cabins scattered about on the 40 acres overlooking the Strait of Haro. The earlier review is somewhat unfair to Mar Vista Resort. What the visitor did not understand is that the San Juan Islands were once a more primitive and simple place to live.
