We were walking the Wales Coast Path and booked in at short notice with two small dogs. We were able to dry our (very) wet gear and made to feel very welcome. The owners could not have been more pleasant and helpful. The rooms were very clean and homely and we would recommend this to anyone else walking the coast... More

We stayed here overnight on Bed & Breakfast basis. We had a warm welcome and given our own key to enable us to come and go without restriction. The room was immaculate and very spacious with a lovely en-suite, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and quality complimentary toiletries. Breakfast was plentiful and freshly cooked with quality food and nothing... More

Well the brick house guest house was absolutely faultless, it was immaculate, the beds were amazing! at £65 a room with breakfast, great value for money. I would 100% percent recommend people to stay at this lovely guest house. We were made to feel so welcome, such lovely people. Will definitely return.

Seriously, when we walked in my dad said "I must have mistook the price". The ivy outside the house is charming, and the inside is wonderful. The room was decorated beautifully, and the beds were amazingly comfortable. This was the prettiest, most comfortable room we stayed in all trip. Breakfast was good. The brown toast was with beautiful grainy bread,... More

We have visited the Brick House many times over the past fifteen years, the most recent was in June 2012, and it is consistently good. The rooms have very comfortable beds and the bathrooms have been upgraded. The towels are top quality - lovely and thick and soft. The breakfasts have plenty of variety and the food is cooked to... We have just returned from a three night stay here and I have to write and compliment this Guest House on its service and Comfort. From when we first arrived until our departure we were treated like "Royalty"!!!! Christine was just the "Perfect" Hostess!!! I have been staying at the Brick House Country Guest House for more than 4 years on a regular basis and fully recommend it. It is wonderfully located only minutes from the M4, but still in the heart of the historic Gwent Levels' countryside. The hotel is a stately country house, swathed in Virginia Creeper and is high quality and... More

Friendly, homely & an excellent breakfast with some lovely touches eg home-made marmalade etc. Noisy, plumbing which was a bit of a pain first thing in the early morning!!! No tea-tray, had to ask. Beds comfy & all rooms clean.

This hotel was very good. The building was originally built in the 1400s but the main facade was constructed in about 1796. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The floors creak! Our main gripe was that there was no tea - making facilities in the rooms. One is expected to ask for tea on a tray!
