Yes we knew this place was below average even before we booked it. It is on the eastern end of the island and we had reservations for the rest of the week at a nice place on the West End, Meads Bay. So we figured that we were arriving later in the day, it was over and then dinner. So... More

Anguilla is an amazing gem, the best kept secret in the Caribbean. No nasty cruise ships full of fat demanding American junk shoppers, no St. Thomas-esc 3 MPH bumper to bumper traffic that consumes hours of your time traveling a few short miles. No bad attitudes, no shootings and crime, no American chain restaurants or hotels, just a pristine place... More

Good: This Hotel is in a good location near the beach. We stayed here 6 years ago and came back because we enjoyed our first stay. This stay was as good as our first stay. We would go back here in the future. The Hotel is a 2 minute walk to a nice beach, but 10 - 15 minute walk... More

I had the pleasure of staying at the Allamanda Beach Club from January 5th - January 23rd. I would highly recommend this resort for the tranquility and peacefulness that we had on our vacation. Just a short stroll to Shoal Bay, this spot is truly what makes Anguilla. Carlene the General Manager was most gracious and our maid was like... More

We just returned from a trip to Anguilla where we stayed at the Allamanda Beach Club. Here is the good, the bad and the ugly. The Good Really short walk to Shoal Bay Beach. The beach is beautiful and there is hardly anyone on it. Staff is nice. Room cleaned well every day. A couple of times, the housekeeper even... More

Third time staying here, last time being in 1999. The rooms are adequate, nothing special. Great location on Shoal Bay, which is obviously the main attraction when coming to Anguilla. Most of the beach bars/restaurants on this beach are cash only, so bring money! If you have a laptop or iPad, you'll have free wifi in your room. You'll need... More

This review is about a year and a half in the making. My husband and I went there in June of 2010, and can you tell I love to procrastinate? Anyway, this place is perfect for anyone who wants reasonable lodging at a reasonable price. It's not fancy or luxurious, but it's clean and quiet, and most importantly for us,... More

I would have rated this a 3+, if I could. I would have preferred a little nicer room for a little bit more money, but during high season, a better room would have required a LOT more money. That said, I agree with the general consensus that Allamanda is an excellent value considering the relative high cost of vacationing on... More

Simply put, you can't beat the value of this place - very clean, very quiet, and priced very reasonably considering you can get rooms with full kitchens as well. Stay in an upper floor room for the view! Other reviewers note that the place looks a bit "dated" or "tired" - but remember you also aren't spending the mega dollars... More
