The Sandpiper is clearly an extremely well managed property, the staff and service in general really impress. We don't get it... why all the praise for this old, outdated hotel????? This is by no means a Five-Star Hotel. Far from it! Lovely hotel, charming, intimate, excellent service. When we were there it felt like all the other guests had been airlifted from a tour of Tuscany in the summer - very civilised people. There is a realtively smaller beachfront than some hotels, but ample for the small number of guests. Service attitude was outstanding. great restaurant and really nice beach bar/restaurant. More
