Stayed one night in April 2012. Friendly front desk staff (sometimes hard to come by in Haiti). Didn't have a reservation, but qucikly got a room for $80. Nice courtyards and sitting areas in the hotel with old-style architecture. Room was nice. Comfortable beds, flat screen tv with about 10 US satellite channels, clean bathroom with (kinda) hot water. The... More

The Roi Christophe belonged to the first King of Haiti, hence its name. The hotel drips authentic colonial charm, with period architecture and rambling gardens, as well as a fine collection of haitian crafts. Our room was a stunning colonial period piece, overlooking the inner courtyard. Cleanliness of the room was impeccable, and as Haiti goes, there were very few... More

Stayed two nights, while visiting Le Cap. Great spot to rest and use as base for trips to the different attractions nearby. Walking distance from the main square and in the historic district. Comfortable, old building, with all modern commodities, which seem even more so in these parts, surrounded by a peaceful garden. The pool is an oasis under the... More

The property was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We stayed in a large room with five people, the beds were great, the staff were attentive and professional and the breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel. More

I really enjoyed the stay although I had to change my room because of molds. That is what one can expect from a hurricane belt or from the UK for that matter. The staff were absolutely wonderful. Internet in the rooms were a problem, and I really don't care about television although it would be nice to watch more local... More

I have traveled all over the world for work and pleasure and, considering the craziness of the city of Cap-Haitien, Hotel du Roi Christophe is an oasis. Beautiful foliage, birds, open air, good food and drinks. WiFi is fairly reliable, rooms clean and nice. Very cool old world feeling with modern amenities. If you are looking for Hilton or Marriott... More

We stayed at this hotel about a week. As we hadn't booked any room in advance, we first stayed at one of the suites in the new building. The room was very large, had a big balcony facing the swimming pool, was nicely furnished and decorated with taste, had a very stylish tiled bathroom with a rain shower, a large... More

The grounds are lovely and private with a fantastic swimming pool. The rooms are over priced at $120/ night and he phones never worked and internet about 3 hrs out of the 3 days I was there. Very safe, nice staff, Places clean, but while the dining room is lovely, the service was slow, meaning 1.5 hrs to wait to... More
