We stayed at this hotel because we typically like to stay at Wyndham-owned properties, and it was the only Wyndham on this side of the island (Aquadilla, PR.) Overall it was a nice, no frills hotel. It has a restaurant/deli-style eatery in the lobby, free wifi, very small poo l(which deceivingly appears to be indoors, but it's outdoors) and free... More

I choose this hotel, that was an old monastery located at Mayaguez city downtown, thinking to stay in an historic building, but when we got there, we got surprised. The whole building is remodeled, the room is big enough, very nice and confortable. It have Wireless internet in the lobby also in the room, complimentary continental breakfast, not about too... We visit PR every three months and have always stayed at the Mayaquez Resort, going back 30 years when it was a Hilton and my kids were toddlers. We have become very disenchanted with the above hotel and found the Holiday Inn very clean and the employees very friendly. No mold, smells clean and the sheets are white , not... More

A classic hotel - downtown, old monastery, close to plaza and cathedral. Short drive to zoo. Easy parking. Plenty of restaurants within a few blocks. Internet works near the lobby, which is a nice space with coffee, bar, and cafe. Limited breakfast but free. More

Located at city center, part of this hotel is an old monastery. The room in that part of the building are large and very nice. The rooms in the other part of the building are not so nice. Wireless interest is only available in the lobby and the complimentary continental breakfast does not about too much but there is a... More

This is a small hotel located at a great location in central Mayaguez. The optional parking fee is very inexpensive for a hotel of this rating and the service is excellent. The hotel carries complementary continental breakfast but lacks a computer with Internet access at the lobby. Town square is one block away. More

Clean, friendly, and a great place to come back to after day trips. In the heart of the city. Would definitely go back! More

Great location. Right downtown and we got it at a good price. Rooms were clean, w A/C, they had a pool. Friendly staff and many places to eat and shop w/i walking distance. The rooms were small but clean and updated. Next time I have to go to Mayaguez I willdef stay in this hotel again. More

My wife thinks there was mold in our room. I know one thing for sure - we stayed here three nights and I never looked forward to returning to the room bc of the smell. It was absolutely pervasive. It was serious chemical smell mixed with mold I think. Whatever. It was cheap and we were locked in with a... More

I've been coming to Mayaguez for years, and this is the first (and last) time that I'll stay with HoJo. It's got a central location and a renovated lobby, but that's it. No wireless in rooms? No cable for wired internet? No fitness center? No clock in the room? Awoken by bloodthirsty mosquitoes, cars smashing into each other, and a... More
