Set on the island's southern coastal road, less than a mile west of Esperanza on Vieques Island. The Blue Horizon Boutique Resort is perfectly situated on a bluff overlooking the waters of the Caribbean Sea; 800m of ocean front coastline. Its centerpiece is an airy seafront house, built in a Mediterranean style in 1975, whose soaring living area opens onto a view of the blue horizon. It's 10 air-conditioned rooms. Our restaurant, Carambola and Blue Moon Bar open 7-days a week year-round! Massages are available in-room, cliff or pool side by our selective therapists.
The setting is sublime. The pool is so serene & the palm trees add to the relaxed vibe. The staff is friendly, helpful & professional. The restaurant has good breakfasts & a beautiful view of the grounds. We had dinner at the resort one night & it was very good. Our room was large & nicely appointed with a private sitting area outside. I would 150% stay here again!

Room was amazing! Views from anywhere on the property are breathtaking. So quiet and clean. Staff is wonderful! The beach out front is secluded and quiet. Bed was made and room was cleaned every day when we got back! We will 100% be coming back

The hotel is absolutely amazing! We will return. The rooms were tastefully decorated and the bed was comfortable. The views are absolutely stunning. The staff was friendly and made us feel right at home. The location is far enough away from Esperanza, yet easily accessible via car rental or atv.

On our first evening, we discovered the Blue Lagoon just next door and, reading the menu online, we were enticed by the sound of the offerings. While our reservation was for 7:30PM and it wasn't until 8:30PM that we got to our table, we did have a lovely marinii at the charming bar to bide our time. Once seated, it did take a little longer than we'd have liked to get our order into the queue. What we observed was that one person-Eric-was doing a terrific and always professional job overseeing the bar and the dining area and the couple of in-room deliveries. He recognized that we had been waiting, apologized for being short-staffed that night, and ensured that our various selections were deliverd in record time. This young man has what it takes to be very successful in his hotelery career. Dinner was excellent--stuffed mushrooms, caesar salad and a delicious mahi-mahi with spinach risotto. Yum. And bonus--pricing was very reasonable.…

This place is gorgeous! Such an oasis. The pool is beautiful. The grounds are spacious and beautiful. They only have a few rooms so there are not many people around and it’s so quiet. The food is excellent and well priced. The staff was all very helpful. We loved the servers at breakfast. They were both incredibly helpful with tips about the island and with our food service. Really loved speaking with them. Can’t say enough good things about this place. I highly recommend it

We loved our stay at Blue Horizon! We stayed only one night here to do the bioluminescent bay tour, but rented a golf cart and drove all around the island of Vieques, beach hopping. The sunset and sunrise at this location were beyond beautiful. The little bungalow style cottage rooms were adorable and a wonderful experience. Also waking up to horses grazing in the field behind our bungalow was truly just magical. I would say that my only complaint of the facility was that service at the restaurant was VERY slow. We timed it appropriately for our bio bay tour but the entire dinner experience was almost two hours due to the slow service. Other than that this was one of the most magical places I have ever experienced.

Amazing little private clean casitas - horses roaming. Infinity pool so gorgeous, walks on secluded beach below. No bugs, due to wind. Food was amazing. Loved the round pillared bar. Low colored lighting around the property is for sea turtles not to lose their way in bright lights on shore. Sunsets phenominal. Quiet and relaxed. A perfect vacation!

We stayed on New Years Eve after being double booked by a local hotel. Not cheap, but nothing was and there was very little available, however on arriving (after walking a mile with all our bags) the place looked great. A mile from the main strip, with loads of space, and lots of wild horses, a nice pool and a great view of the ocean, it did indeed look like a top, exclusive resort. Our room was attached to the main building but there were plenty of others with a better view spread out in the grounds. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of plugs, wifi worked well and there was coffee in the room. There were unique pictures on the walls, very odd, but we had a good laugh at them. There was a huge window in the shower looking straight out to the grounds, probably at just about a safe height not to startle people. IT was "a bit" run down. Peeling paint here and there, our window didnt shut in the frame properly, the safe key just didnt work, but overall, the charm of the place forgave the bit of care and attention it needed. The staff tried hard, but seemed a little 'somewhere else' at times. Builders seemed to be milling around, hopefully restoring the place to former/future glory. There was a New Years Eve meal on when we arrived but when we got back just before midnight, it was empty and everywhere closed up. Guess everyone was in the town by then. We had a random brunch the next day before we left. We actually would have stayed longer but they were full. Blue Horizon - actually reminded me a bit of White Lotus. Make of that what you will. We enjoyed our stay.…

As a gay couple, we were received in a warm and welcoming way. Hotel is beyond breathtaking and beautiful. Beach is at door steps and pool was picturesque. Food was amazing and staff were friendly. For travelers, taking a taxi from the resort to different areas can be a challenge but it’s worth it. You have to call them in advance to make sure to they are booked for your excursions
