Spent a week here and had an overall good experience. The staff was friendly and helpful and except for a glitch with the room, things went fairly smooth. The property has a lot of things going for it such as no hidden fees, no charge for valet parking or internet service, no charge for the pool cabanas, a great beach... More

Aloha, we are glad that you had an overall good experience at the Makena Beach & Golf Resort. In regards to resort rooms categories, the unique shape of the hotel provides our room with varying views of the pacific ocean. Given that Maluaka beach is much wider than the apex of the resort structure some of our rooms not directly... More

We added this resort at the last minute to our itinerary because we arrived early due to a flight change and our resort was not able to add an additional night for us. We LOVED it and wished we were able to spend at least one more night here. It was quiet, beautiful property, clean comfortable rooms, good breakfast and... More

My wife and I stayed in room 411 and the updgrade to partial ocean view was fantastic, as good as full ocean view. Our room was spacious, flat screen tv, good bed and well appointed with a decent patio. The service and friendly staff are the best you will get. We especially enjoyed the large and well equipped fitness room... More

Aloha! We are glad that you were able to get the most of you stay at Makena. The resort offers a much different experience from the resorts in the Wailea and Kaanapali areas of Maui. More laid back and natural in setting the resort is ideal for those looking to get away from it all. We are glad that this... More

It was splendid experience! The people were friendly, helpful, and the hotel was clean, great food, and had a very nice property. We loved this location, it was quiet and so beautiful. While in the area check out Big-Beach. If you want a happening place this is not the place to be. If you looking for peace, comfort, and tranquilly... More

We stayed in room 333 ocean-front. Very nice sized and well appointed, although had to go to lobby to get Wi-Fi. Still staff was wonderful--never had such a complete effort to make sure customers are satisfied--very eager to please. Atrium gardens are especially impressive--truly lovely, very extensive and so well maintained. A note of caution: opening and closing the door... More

My wife and I stayed at the resort for one week in April 2012 and we really loved it. The location was great. We prefer resorts that have a more secluded feeling so it was nice being away from the busier parts of the island. Those areas were just a short car ride away. The beach was great and offered... Ive been coming here for 12 years when it was The Maui Prince..I understand the need to show a profit in an apparent down resort economy..Da place holds alot of nostalgia for me..Seeing the peeps disembarking from their Molokini tour on the beach was great,,,the "hotel" cant figure out who to try and market their sevices to..There was no "beach... We thank you for your continued patronage of the resort over the past twelve years. It is because of your continued support of the property throughout the years that is saddens us so to hear that you did not enjoy your most recent stay at our resort. The new owner’s management and staff have been working hard to rejuvenate the... More

If you are looking for a quiet getaway without all of the children this is a great place. Although the pool is not as large as some others, there was still plenty of room at the pull for all of the sunbathers. The beach has one of the nicest views in Maui. Although the hotel is on the beach it... More

In planning a 10th anniversary trip without kids to Maui I originally had reservations at both Marriott Beach Resort and the Grand Wailea. Then I heard about Makena Beach & Golf Resort and was a bit skeptical to be honest. Bottom line is I saved easily $1000 and didnt feel like the quality of my stay was decreased in any... More

We just returned from a week stay at Makena Beach Golf Resort & I was blown away start to finish. My fiance' and I got married on our stay in Maui & are an adventurous couple, right away at Makena we melted into the lush landscaping and instantly felt at home. Our stay included breakfast next to the koi pond... More
