Here is an honest review of our stay at your “resort” March 13-15, 2024. We saw some positives; but, also many negatives. We traveled to several places around Thailand before coming to Krabi. We truly found Thailand to be the “Land of the Smiles” until we arrived at Krabi Resort. We quickly observed that the staff probably encounters many hostile guests and complaints about your aging property. They appeared beaten down, unfriendly and apathetic. Smiles can go a long way with frustrated guests. Even the staff walking around the property didn’t say hello to guests. I tried! We originally booked 2 luxury grand pool rooms. When we entered the room, it was definitely NOT the room I booked on line. It looked COMPLETELY different. My room’s air conditioner was not working correctly. The other room had a craked/leaky bathtub with water on the bathroom floor. (See picture). I went to reception and told them our concerns. They said they could give us 1 big room that could accommodate all 3 of us or 2 pool villas. We opted for 2 pool villas since we didn’t all 3 want to stay in the same room. She told us it would cost 14,000 thb more in addition to what we already paid. I agreed since I felt I had no other option. The villa was lovely. It was spacious, clean and a good location on the property. Unfortunately, it also had its problems. C7 had 2 clogged bathroom sinks and BOTH C6 and C7 had no hot water. We promptly put in a work order about 4:00 pm but no one arrived to fix it until 8:00 am the next morning. I feel this is unfair and the original amount should be split. It was not my choice to pay a lot more money but I was only given 2 options. If I originally wanted a villa I would have originally booked it. I think your property has enormous potential but it has its problems too. I booked the Krabi Resort I saw online, I got a different Krabi Resort with many disappointing problems attached to our stay. I was hoping management would do the right thing and refund half of the original payment. I think this is a fair request.

We stayed here 5 years ago and the resort was fabulous and clean so we decided to book again this year, what a disappointment! We booked "Delux rooms" for four nights, the hotel part felt like a disused hotel and very rundown! The rooms were dingy and grubby with mouldy bathrooms and stained furniture, I felt uncomfortable in the room. The pools were dirty alongside the areas aroud the pool were grubby with dirty and broken sunbeds. The garden areas really needed a clean up. The breakfast was fine and plenty of choice. We tried to book somewhere else but no availability in the resort. This resort has been left to run down which is a shame as it was once really good.

Our room had a block toilet which was attended to by the housekeeper to unblock then it happened again. We had no hot water which was eventually fixed. After constant issues with the toilet they moved us to another room on our 2nd last day of our vacation. The staff were friendly but very inexperienced. The resort is very run down. Really in need of an upgrade and attention.

I stayed here with my family recently over a school holiday. This property has a lot going for it- staff were always very friendly and helpful. The resort is sprawling with multiple swimming pools, rooms are quite spacious, and it is located on the quieter end of the beach. All in all a great place to stay. To be sure, maintenance could be improved- we noticed some times around the property which needed repaired. This didn't really affect our enjoyment of the place, though. The breakfast was great. The coffee was great as was the selection, but it didn't change a whole lot from day to stay. Still, we never got bored with it. Housekeeping did a great job. The rooms show a little wear and tear, but were always clean and comfortable. I slept so well there. The bed has to be even bigger than a king sized- it was probably about 2 meters wide. Wifi wasn't great everywhere on the property, but I had no problems streaming the NFL Super Bowl on the hotel wifi. Sometimes people expect five-star hotels at two-star prices, but this hotel is a great value. I would definitely recommend it and would come back again. In fact, I stayed at another, more expensive hotel in Krabi and still felt Krabi Resort was a better stay for our family.

Pools are filthy with the main pool appearing to have no filtration. Hardly any sunbeds have cushions and the ones that do are filthy. Issues with Wi-Fi and telephone. Myself and husband woke up each morning covered in bites which the pharmacist said was bedbugs (I hardly ever get bitten abroad….4th time in Thailand). Room was grubby and needs updating. Bins around resort overflowing. Broken glass from lamps left on path for 2 days. Booked for 7 nights, stayed 3, checked out early and reception staff didn’t seem concerned. When we asked to speak to the manager we were informed that there is no management on site….. and it shows. We stayed here in 2020 and it was a great place. Needless to say we will not return.

At the outset let me say this resort must have really been something back in the day, but it is obvious that maintenance is not a priority now and service standards are dismal. Unfortunately I was persuaded to book here by the stunning pictures which are quiet obviously extremely outdated and a few good reviews…I only read the negative reviews after my own negative experience. In short this place is misleading and not a 4 star resort by any standard. Deluxe room is located along a stagnant mosquito infested river, see pictures attached. We are a group of 6 adults and 2 kids checked into 3 deluxe rooms for a 3 night stay at this so called “4 Star Resort”. Noticed upon check in that one of our rooms had water behind the toilet (we thought this came from the wash tap attached to toilet), our shower drain was clogged after the first shower and our WiFi router did not work (this is apart from the issues with other rooms booked). By the morning water leaking from toilet had leaked passed the toilet and along the tub…the toilet was also completely blocked. Called Reception around 7am to report the faults and called again at-least 4 times after that, each time reassured someone was on the way. Eventually we called housekeeping directly and asked for assistance, the housekeeper came to our room and called someone on her cell and asked me to speak to them directly (language is definitely a barrier here, staff can bearly speak or understand English) Eventually the woman says their Engineer is on his 1 hr lunch break and will call us after. It was now passed 13:00. “Engineer” shows up with a plunger, creates a mess on the floor trying to unblock the toilet and then informs us that we cannot flush tissue, and should use the shower tap to wash and bin to dispose of tissue. He then leaves and returns with a small sign for the toilet (which was not initially placed in our room or bathroom) that warns against flushing toilet tissue. Engineer leaves after deciding there was nothing more he can do…we then call housekeeping to please come clean the bathroom and floor which is now a mess and they put the phone down on my husband. I am pregnant and I have a toddler, in my state I need to use the toilet often, had it not been for other family checked in I would have had to use their public toilet at reception or restaurant which is not nearby our rooms. We take a walk to reception to have the issue resolved, meanwhile “engineer” returned to our room with plunger and a sprinkler wire he pulled from the garden (we witnessed this) which he intends to use as a rodding eye to unblock the toilet. Reception staff are rude and unhelpful, they have no customer service standards, they don’t have a manager and ask us to sort out the issue with our reservation agent who is back in South Africa. They also cannot move us as they are apparently fully booked. They ask us to wait in the room until it is fixed. A different engineer shows up, he says there is nothing that he can do, the toilet is blocked. Housekeeper comes and wipes the floor. So we are having to now share a bathroom with family in another room. Of the 3 rooms we booked only 1 families room had the sign notifying that tissue cannot be flushed, it is such a tiny sign that they didn’t even know it existed until we asked them to check their bathrooms and warned them about it. It is now 7pm heading into our 2nd night, toilet is still blocked and we have no chance of moving rooms. The stench is unbearable. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

Now to be fair in this review we did not stay her, we were supposed to but cancelled our booking after reading other reviews. However whilst in the area we dis visit the resort to confirm our thought, and Wow were we glad that we cancelled. Most of the Hotel supplied photos must be very old way before they terminated the Grounds cleaning team years ago. I will rely on other to comment about the actual Villas, which to be honest look nice from the outside but others indicate poor quality firings and maintain an E which doesn’t surprise me if the grounds are anything to go by.. Unappealing, untidy and dirty was our initial reaction, and whilst walking around saw so much rubbish and unkempt areas. Even the Pool Loungers were poorly maintained , and the in Pool seating filthy, there is no way i would even get in that pool. The water features that sit stagnant throughout the grounds are disgusting and a breeding ground for mosquito, they try to us Solar water movers but to little effect. The Gardens are not maintained, with Rubbish everywhere I am so glad we cancelled our stay as this is no way near the luxury paradise resort indicated on some websites.

We chose the Krabi Resort (it is my 3rd stay) as the beginning of our Thailand holidays. First of all the location of the hotel is amazing - as far as I know it is the only hotel located on the beach in Ao Nang - what was very important for us. We can have breakfast with the seaview, I can read a book looking at my child playing on the beach. Don’t have to leave my sunbed to watch the sunset. The hotel has a view options of accommodation- starting with the most amazing private villas with the pool, beautifully designed bungalows and standard rooms in the hotel building. Another pro is the location in Ao Nang center - a few meters away from all attractions.

Need a serious redo! Location is prime for the rest forget about it!!! We booked for à King site bed superior room and we upgraded to a luxurious pound view room. The superior room was OK, but outdated. We didn't want to stay at this building because it was directly located next to the wild jungle, including the Thai grass hoper making noise like a loud Electric guitar screeming. So the receptionnist offered the same room at the other building with pool view, however our next neigbours were karakoke and music bar. We dediced to pay another 40$ to upgrade to the luxurious room looking at a very dirty pound with mosquitos. We were tired from travelling so we decided to stay at this room. The door to access the balcony had holes so mosquitos had free ways to enter the room. The hotel offered mosquitos plug in device. For a 4* hotel at 155$ per night, I sincerly felt like it was a joke and a scam. Please take a look at the pictures. The grounds of the hotel was out of control for the landscape. The pool were green and milky. So many areas needs to be deeply clean or simple removed at they were unsafe. When I ask about an Iron board and the Iron, they told me to go outside the hotel to have it done as they didn't had for the guests. No barthrobe. Out dated furnitures and the breakfast not as good as it looked. The machine for the beverage was plug but the dinks were warm and not refregirated. I ask to an employee and said it was broken since 2 months. Not à 4* as per my high level of experience ( I am a flight attendant and I almost live in hotels around the world.)

The resort is located in the excellent location just between the two beaches with direct access to the beach. Unfortunately the effort resort is run down and Donna have so many things that need fixing. You should be ashamed of charging the price you did with several rooms having no functional shower for a whole day with the staff not looking to care. Felt like the staff is running the resort with no capable management on site. As asked to talk to the management we were told no management available at the resort.
