You might mistake it's run down appearance for a flop house, but it is respectable. Parking on the street. Old towels and wrapped mini bars of soap are given upon checkin almost as a contractual confirmation of getting the room. Spartan quarters, but perfect for someone that won't be spending much time in the room. There are two prices, old...

I have travelled through out Mex extensively for the past 25 years. If your looking for impersonable staff and swim to bars...this is not for you. If your looking for a friendly Mexican family orientated experience coupled with older Mex charm and the best budget hotel for the buck in all of Mex as far as I'm concerned....this is it....

We stayed at the Lorimar for 6 nights. This hotel is very close to the malecon, rooms are clean and nice (if you stay in a new one!). The patio is nice, although when we were there, we were the only guests, so we didn't really meet many people! The staff was very helpful and always gave us good advice...

Great location, English speaking front desk staff, info on all sorts of activities and services in La Paz are available for the guest. If you don't see what you want, just ask! Helpful and honest people there. We were there over the Nov. 20 holiday, and the laundry service close by was closed for two days. We asked the housekeeper...

My wife and I stayed here one night in Jan. 2007. It had a great location near the bayfront and was only 38 dollars. The interior of the room and the shower were in good condition. The A/C was a wall unit and was new and worked well. We used it to drown out the loud talking coming from the...

We stayed for 3 nights at the Lorimar in la Paz. We took the 'new' rooms but there wasn't much new about them. The mattrasses were awfull, we actually ended up putting two mattrasses on one bed. And we are udget travelers so not very picky. The location was great. But when we came in there were mexicans watching soccer...

We have just returned from a week-end in Baja California Sur and we stayed 2 nights in the Hotel Lorimar in La Paz.
The hotel is located one block from the Malecon (Sea-front) and right next to all city activities : restaurants, shops, bars and night-clubs.
We paid $38 per night for an immaculate room, smelling fresh (as well as...

I was in La Paz the first week of February, 2005, for two nights, three days. Lorimar Hotel is near the walkway on the bay and the shops, restaurants and activity in that area. It's within walking distance of all areas of La Paz. I had a small room that was clean and quiet. No view. I paid 240 pesos...

We stayed at the Hotel Lorimar the first time in 1995. We drove there from Canada. The hotel was recommended to us for the cleanliness, friendly staff and cheap price. We stayed there for a week and had a great time. The staff were very nice. They have a macaw which wandered around in the court/lobby area. The bird was...
