Thanks to Kathleen and Andy and their fabulous vision, my husband and I were able to find them by chance and paint for 6 days with Kathleen while enjoying amazing meals and conversation with Andy. Don't find them by chance, PLAN to travel to the Puerto Vallarta area and stay at the House of Wind and Water. If you have... More

This truly was the escape my husband and I needed. We spent a week in November 2012 at House of Wind and Water, which is situated in a traditional colonia away from the touristy hubbub of Puerto Vallarta. Although the jungle setting feels worlds away, it's only a 15-20 minute bus ride to downtown and beach (for only about 50... More

What a wonderful escape! My friends and I spent a week with Kathleen & Andy in their wonderful B & B and took painting workshop. WOW! What an amazing experience. The food was amazing. They couldn't do enough to make sure that our visit was a wonderful experience. Zip-lining, horseback riding, massages, tours of galleries and local markets. Great for... More

Perhaps the greatest thing about the House of Wind & Water is Kathleen herself - a talented and accomplished artist and an inspiration to students at any level. I attended a painting workshop with friends which means the days were filled with intense study but also with moments of anticipation, exciting new flavors and the joy of observing local color.... My painting experience with Kathleen of House of Wind and Water was one of the most stimulating and gratifying one I've ever had. Having never held a paint brush in my hand, I was extremely nervous and self conscience. Kathleen put me at ease, gave me confidence, made me laugh, made me fearless, and challenged me to do what I... More

I was here in October & November and saw the jungle in it's Tropical setting with the brilliant greens and it's lushness. Now I got to experience the jungle in it's dormant state. There is a different beauty of the greys of the trees, with the red bark of the trees standing out. The one amazing sight was the guacamayas.... More
