Barra de Potosi is a small village. On vacation I enjoy to have a rural, quiet, friendly, home away from home. I found Laura's "Casa del Encanto" while walking through the village. This place is truly paradise. I was there with three other friends in August and we pretty much had the beach to ourselves. Barra is super quiet and peaceful. If you are looking for nightlife and lots of restaurants, you want to head to Ixtapa. If you want peace and tranquility, this is the place. The hotel ground is beautiful... More

Traveler alert! This place is terrible! Barra de Potosi is a lovely and hospitable place, and there are plenty of small and gracious bed and breakfasts - this is not one of them. We were naive enough to pay in advance with a 'broker', and when we arrived, were put in a dirty flea- infested room with no hot water.... More
