I'll start by saying that my first visit to Guanajuato has sold me on the town...I love it! First impressions count for something and Casa Zuniga was it. Rick sent Arturo to get me from the airport and bring me to the hotel. It could be challenge unaided. The hotel is multilevelled and sprawling, it is Rick's work in progress... More

We spent 4 weeks backpacking around Mexico and Belize, and this is one of the nicest places we stayed. Ric and his wife were beyond lovely, the room we had was massive and really clean, with a gorgeous balcony. I suspect Ric gave us a free upgrade as we'd only booked for their most basic room. Breakfast was fab, WiFi... More

We travel to have unique experiences, and this is one of the most unique places you will ever visit, both the city and this B&B. Everything that has been said about Casa Zuniga in other reviews is spot-on, so there is no reason for me to restate it here. I will add that talking with Ric about Guanajuato and his... More

The trip from airport was short and scenic. Once we arrived the room was ready and we were treated like family. Our entire vacation was so carefree and satisfying thanks to the home atmosphere we experiances at Casa Zuniga. After an overwhelming day of taking in such history, food, and culture we could not wait to go up the hill... More

My wife and I stayed with Rick and his lovely wife, Carmen, for a couple of days last year. We enjoyed Casa Zuniga and the city of Guanajuato so much that we returned in 2012 and spent four days there so that we could more thoroughly explore the area. We arranged through Rick to have his driver, Arturo, pick us... More

What more can be said, the reviews say it all, Casa Zuniga is simply wonderful. It has definitely become "our home away from home". People ask me why we don't buy a place of our own in Guanajuato as we visit so often, but why would we do that when we have Casa Zuniga ! Rick and Carmen have worked... More

The room does not have a TV, This B&B is not a luxurious place, Sometimes you will not have water or electricity but... You know what.. This is the best place to stay in Guanajuato, Rick knows everything about the history of México and offers the best breakfast in town! I will back soon for sure. You will be very... More

The location of this lovely B&B can't be faulted. Situated by the Pipila monument, above the city, you have simply gorgeous views over the pretty town. There is a funicular which gets you into town within minutes if you can't face the walk down the callejon....although more likely it's back up the hill when you'll take advantage! The breakfasts are... More

Casa Zuniga overlooks the historic city of Guanajuato, Mexico. At night from the terrace the old part of the city looks like a wonderland below. The hotel is at the top of a funicular railway railway which allows easy access to the old town, as opposed to hundreds of stairs. The rooms were large, clean, and nicely furnished. The morning...
