This is a small and friendly hotel which is actually a series of houses which have been amalgamated into a compound. Dont expect 5 star features. There is no air con., tv., room service etc. BUT you do get a great location, good security, helpful staff and a very homely atmosphere. We booked for 4 nights and extended to 10!... More

Casa Gonzalez was my first stop on my Mexico trip, solo. As a single female traveller who speaks very limited Spanish, it was the perfect place to begin my journey. The reception staff were very helpful. Most of them spoke English. There are free computers in the Reception, a great help for keeping in touch with family and planning the... More

Wife and I stayed 5 nights at this lovely little family run hotel. It's located almost right behind the U.S. Embassy, 2 minutes from the Paseo Reforma, Zona Rosa, and close to the Metro. The staff was friendly and helpful (most speak English). Amenities included free wifi, 24 hour coffee shop, continental breakfast, cheap laundry service, and 2 bottles of... More

A great place . Several houses around flower filled courtyards , nice breakfast , basic rooms with a fan . Good location near Zona Rosa . The best of everything is the staff . Helena and Pilar who helped us with all the things that you need at the beginning of a trip . Booking and printing vouchers for Aeromexico... More

Comfortable, well located, quite, lovely place to stay. If you prefer small well serviced hotel rather than big chains this is your choice in Mexico City. I love the garden, the room and breakfast (Chilaquiles rojos are the best). Even my family that lives in Mexico City couldn't believe a place like this existed so close to the Zona Rosa... More

Excellent location at very reasonable prices but you need to be careful about the room you get because the area is at times noisy and if you are next to the street then it could be an issue. This is an old house with some 30 rooms and each of them is different. I stayed in room 129 at about... More

Thank you for taking the time to post your review, we are always eager to hear your opinion. Unfortunately this time of the year we do have some mosquitoes, we will work harder at controlling them. Concerning the noise, we are working on soundproofing our rooms. most of the rooms facing the street already have a double pane sealed window... More

Staff was fabulous and the location can't be beat. Very central and just a couple blocks off the Reforma. Rooms were comfortable clean and spacious. The safe didn't work. Since it is two old haciendas joined together it has a nice feel to it. Breakfast was more than adequate More

We are v happy here though our room is beside the street -a bit noisy. There is internet wifi in the room though can only get it to work in reception. Hot water in shower seems to be on a timer - runs out fast. Walking distance to many restaurants. Safe in room is good. Breakfast good continental juice, bread,... More

We are blessed to have stayed at refined, genuine Casa Gonzalez. It is so near to everything - on foot or by the superb Metro. CG offers fine meals and accommodations that are spotless, comfortable, and tastefully furnished. We cannot say enough about the concern and thoroughness of staff in answering diverse questions, providing maps, and even enabling us to... More

A lovely a retreat from the cacophony of the city, Casa Gonzalez feels like home away from home. The interior patio is filled with plants and bubbling fountains. Each room is unique, often adorned with beautifully painted portraits and antique furnishings. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts are delicious. More
